Well, I have already mentioned in the thread
https://www.lfs.net/forum/post/1892975#post1892975

if you have any problems with buffering while your internet connection is fine try CherryPlayer. Nothing else, just try. If this helps - Ok, if not - wait for other answers.

Sorry, I really was talking about just client side and a little misunderstood you told about server one. But anyway I'd suggest cargame.nl to recommend his clients to use desktop player instead of browser to watch streams, this way is much more reliable in some cases. It could be either VLC or CherryPlayer (where Twitch is already implemented)

I'm silent now))

Quote from troy :I think everybody knows about your player by now, why not finally stop this monologue?

Really want to know? Because for me your talks here look like "Well, yes Frown train or plane is a good way to reach from New York to London, but I have just my old bike, so I'll use it for such traveling. Guys, which color of wheels on my bike should I choose to increase my speed?"

You see?

Quote from TFalke55 :What program do you use to stream with? When I experimented with streaming to Twitch lately, I got these black bars when I not entered the right ratio using OBS.

You won't find better program for streaming then CherryPlayer for now. Maybe in a week such program will appear on in a month, but currently only CherryPlayer allows all kind of streaming, including integrated inside sources (like Twitch). Everyhting else is heresy.

Quote from Gutholz :I agree that watching streams in external player like VLC is better.
It is very noticable if you try to watch several streams at once, like multiple onboards at Le Mans etc.
In browser I can maybe play 2-3 streams at once. With external players I can open many more streams, it runs smoother and less CPU usage.
But think most people do not want to mess around with copying URLs. Or on tablet or phone maybe such "tricks" do not work.

Would it be helpful and convenient if you can watch a few stream in the player at once?

Quote from cargame.nl :For the people interested... I have given Twitch another go ( http://www.twitch.tv/cargamenl/ ) but I am still not sure that I can be happy about it.

Stream often stalls... It's a bit better with Chrome, Palemoon(/Firefox) is a disaster for me... Just not happy with this Adobe Flash I think.

We talking here for many days about this. try CherryPlayer and you will be happy. It doesn't load system at all.

Quote from MousemanLV :hitbox lags really bad for me while Twitch works perfectly... o_O

You reported that you fixed the problem later.

I've read that Google Chrome is the best performing browser for Hitbox but I think Opera works well also...

Twitch really has some issues, at least during CL10Hours, I had issues myself with stopped/buggy stream, I saw a lot of complains on the internetz from other gamers... It has no transcoding capabilities for anybody which is a small streamer, Hitbox has less strict rules but also not low enough to meet our tiny requirements. It was really hard to make a decision but reliability must superseed popularity. Hitbox is more properly constructed, for the moment.

Quote from cuprum :stream will be in jutub?

I don't have login details for https://www.youtube.com/user/cityliga so I will upload the recording to https://www.youtube.com/user/GenuineRacingLFS ... Currently uploading now.. Hour remaining... (2.5 Gb Wink )

According to Youtube the link will be this: http://youtu.be/_4en0UaF2wQ

---
We did dual streaming for CL10Hours (Twitch+Youtube) ... Maybe we do this again for the XMas 12Hour event but for the normal season Hitbox and Youtube recording upload should be sufficient.

I also read that twitch gives less upload bandwidth for less popular channels. But I looked on active users on hitbox and twitch and it seems to me twitch popularity in 100 times more! Of course if your stream will laggy all time on twitch then popularity has not value for you.

I recommend you to stream on twitch and test watching this stream on another machine in desktop CherryPlayer that uses hardware acceleration. CherryPlayer works similar to VLC and MPC-HC and you can read in Google that playback stream in these desktop players can fix twitch lags. CherryPlayer has advantage compare to these players as it has integrated twitch features like tops, search, login, selecting and changing stream quality during stream playback, so CherryPlayer is more convenient.

Probably one disadvantage of CherryPlayer is that it does not allow to follow and subcribe for now to channel, but Twitch was added recently to this player so probably these features will be added very sooner too.

Yes, yes, yes. One program here, another there, getting links, copy/paste and bla-bla-bla. For your information there are much more modern technologies Smile

Nope. CherryPlayer streams YouTube from YouTube and Twitch from Twitch by means of their native api.

I'd advise you to use CherryPlayer, guys. This is a new modern powerful and convenient player where Twitch is already integrated as well as YouTube. This player is absolutely doesn't load system, CPU, does not cause lags and slow downs because of using hardware acceleration. Recommend to all.
