Hey, this is a nice layout, indeed.
I've been thinking about a very similar one myself.

What I don't like about the above posted draft at all is the pit lane. That should be place across the road on the left hand side of the track, where there is enough pavement to roll in and out, without the need of a bridge. Furthermore, the pit entry wouldn't feed from the racing line out of the roundabout, if place on the other side of the track.

The second round of the Open Endurance Cup wasn't the best race day for us.
k_badam and MTnRunnr both had to retire from the GT1 field early. And I, Tiptoe, was proving my nickname right in the GT2, although I could finish the race with only one pit stop.

We're looking forward to the oncoming rounds, featuring some tracks, that are more of our liking, than the curb rodeo arena, called Blackwood GP reversed.

The moment with Riddick, when he found me on an overtaking line in the chicane, while he is driving in the higher class and had just lapped me for the 13th time... That was a lag, buddy. I was avoiding you, by going this way, after I had a short lag right in the middle of the braking zone...


My setup was snailish down the straights, so that I was racing under a blue flag almost all night.
That's why I seriously overlooked somebody once... I think, that was Riddick, too.
Despite the trouble, my being lame has caused for some of you guys, I also had a nice fight for nothing with both extremeRacing driver in their XF GTR.
I really had to give it my all to get past an NGT... Good race, dudes!

I expect to get a penalty for an unsafe rejoin during the last 15 laps, I suppose.


Next time better! Thanks for the good, clean racing out there, guys! I'll catch up later.

After change to GT2 class, I updated my skin in the initial post, about 12 hours ago. Should therefore already be included in Ascona's skin pack.

Yeah, that's right. We decided to get our butts beat badly, by entering the lions' cage, called GT1...

LFS Academy

We are beginning to take the driver development a bit more serious at SDEv's. Starting with free Demo content at Blackwood GP, the SDEv LFS Academy stage 1 is our team intern attempt to give our members all the support they need, to fully understand the physics, the driving techniques and the car setup, that will allow them to close in on the world record. Being a pretty young team, we'd like to scare those winners a little, in the future.
The idea of the Academy is to develop our own track guides for the specific car-track combo and discuss the effects of certain setup changes and their benefits for distinct driving styles.
We are using the replay analyser 1.1, to point out ways to improve one's technique and to find out, where those seconds must be hiding, that are keeping one behind.

We are currently concentrating on RWD pavement cruising. That is, taking under examination the XRG in stage 1 and the FBM in stage 2 of our slowly growing academy forum.
But special FWD science and rallye crossing school will follow, according to the needs of our competitive drivers.

The goal is, to put together the knowledge of all our drivers, plus the information, that we can dig from the endlessness of the internet, in order to select and prepare the best parts of it and finally make a method guide for everybody, seeking the rather fast pace with no matter what car he may choose.
Exciting, isn't it?

Updated the skin once more, to fit the step up to GT1.
But DDS files were getting way too big, so I stuck with jpg, trying to undergo my previous file size even by a few bytes. :-) It worked at least for one of them.

Updated the SDEv skins for both cars up here!

Question: Is the jpg format mandatory or would it make more sense to upload a dds version of the skin?
I personally prefer dds, for performance reasons, but not that I know, what I'm doing.

Ok, we have misunderstood that, too. Not your fault, man. :-)

I'll upload the skins for both cars now and then we'll get the sign-up sorted out.

I'm sorry, but we are going to make things a bit more confusing...

MnTRunnr and k_badam have both signed up seperately for the OEC2, yet applied for a seat with SDEv, too. Both will be wrapped up with our colours and teamed up according to our discussion.

So we are going to have at least two cars for SDEv (FZR & FXR) or even three (2 FZR & 1 FXR).
The class question is still a question, so we might shuffle our cards anew these days. I assume, that we will step up to GT1 with both cars, though. But not sure, yet.

Affirmation will follow this weekend, as soon, as we have got all our drivers on the same page.
I will update the initial posting, when we have decided and let you know about it.

SDEv is most likely not going to start at Rockingham, as we have bought a lot of licenses already this year and for only one round... Well, we'll skip it. Unless something unpredictedly good happens to us within the week. Like a sponsorship or something...

Observing the development of this, we are considering a change to GT1, too.

But as we're not going to start at Rockingham, there is a bit of time left, to see, if any other teams are going to sign up for GT2, meanwhile.

Here comes the SDEv GT2 skin!

I have decided for myself, that the green underside of a rear wing isn't visible enough, so I added green wing tips and a big white "GT2" tag, in order to make the guy behind aware of my being slow.

I updated the skins for our two cars: SDEv blue and SDEv white. (27.02.2016)

Forget it all! We're going to step up to GT1 and here are the updated skins.

One more update: SDEv Blue back to GT2 stickers... Sorry, for not being able to make up my mind early.
