Can I ask what markers do people use for their brake/ turn in/ exit/ etc points? The trouble I'm having is that the track surface is so bump free and perfectly uniform, its very difficult picking out something that I can reliably use. Sometimes there happens to be a distance marker or kerbs or drains that are roughly in the right place, but sometimes there is nothing, and I seem to be using things on the edge of the screen or horizon, which isn't too reliable. What do people use in these situations?

i can't understand why there is so little interest in a fox league. its by far the most fun exciting yet easy car there is to drive. i'm definately interested in a fox league.

It not a filter problem as i can't connect to the servers too.

I'd be happy to speak to my ISP but I have no idea what to tell them - I don't have the IP address to show them. Literally all I can say is: 'I can't connect to some servers in this game' and they'll naturally be: 'not our problem'. I guess I'll have to ask around for the IP.

Some servers seem to be missing in my in game server browser. I can see them in lfs world and through other web based means with loads of people on. They don't appear when I download all the servers from the master server. And if i try to connect to them using Join2LFS or directly in game I get a 'connection timed out' error while trying to join. The servers are the same version I am running.

I specifically can not see or join these servers:
LFS France I C 09
PLFS Summer League

I was connected to them only last week. Also interesting is that a friend on the same ISP has exactly the same problem - Virgin Media (Telewest/ Blueyonder).

Any ideas? I've noticed this happen for short periods before but never for the days it has been going on now. Surely not a routing problem? Any way I can get IP addresses for the servers to tracert them?

When i first got the game there was tonnes of training to do: loads of different corners, and corner combinations and all in different cars. I'm now trying to get my 5 year old kid used to a wheel and pedals, so thought the training would be great. However, i've just looked at it and there is about 2 exercises in the car park and then everything else is 'overtake the AI' round the tracks. Where has everything else gone? It was great stuff, why remove it (unless i'm missing it somewhere...)?

i get what i think is the same problem. My connection is fine in that i recieve all the other car data, so its not problem racing. But occasionally the player names dissapear and the chat lags - if it lags enough i get disconnected, even though i'm still recieving all the racing information. also, the lag indicator in the bottom left lags at the same time as the chat and names. How do lfs transfer these 2 seperatly? I assume names and chat etc are TCP/IP and the race info is UDP? Why would i lag out on one and not the other?

Has anyone ever replaced a pot for the Force EX? (200deg wheel). My steering column pot is knackered so need a new one. Anyone have _any_ idea what the spec of the pot is or where i can order a replacement?

Hope you can help, i've been having a few problems with disconnects on lfs recently and can't work out the underlying cause - mainly 'cause i have no idea how lfs works.

The 'lagbar' in the bottom left: what does this measure the lag from and to? When i get disconnected the green bar (presumably mine) occasionally rises until i get disconnected. However, when this green bar is rising (and it rises for a good 5 seconds or so before disconnecting me) i still recieve all the car data and chat info etc without any lag what-so-ever (and indeed those around me recieve mine). So obviously i'm not lagging despite the lagbar indicating as much. This happens consitently on more than one server.

I've tried rebooting modem/ router/ PC and reinstalling lfs and even using QoS on my router to set the priority for the lfs ports to high.

Why would i timeout when i'm not lagging? Are these pings (for the lagbar) sent through on a different port to the game data?

Any ideas?
