To answer my initial question, i think one may try raising tyre number, for example from R3 to R4 as R4 tyres works best under highest temperature, but also in first laps may be too cold to turn (i think).

Quote from ImudilaSkyline :the tyre pressure

Thanks, anyone know what is the quickest way to discover which tyre presure is optimal, or which is too big or too low in general? (preferably without need to do many labs which is very slow and not precise method to discover optimal presure)

FZR rear tyres 120C and how to migrate car setup to different LFS computer
vitjano
S2 licensed
Hello,

My FZR has Cromo slick R3 tyres 140kPa on all tyres

After like 5 laps on a longer track the front are 100C and rear are 120C
I see sense less grip on rear tyres being on keyboard. But it is not bad enough to be big problem for me i think. Yet i am thinking, do you recommend to try any adjustment in pressure, tyres type or other car setting? I prefer to do for example 15 long laps without pit stop.

----

Also i received a FZR setup from other player and i would like to copy it to my other PC where LFS is installed. How can i do it please?

Thank you

Thank you, lscpi command output contains this line:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] RV250/M9 GL [Mobility FireGL 9000/Radeon 9000] (rev 02)

Not sure if it is "DirectX 9 capable 3D graphics card." as required on lfs.net/downloads

But LFS was running on this computer in Windows XP, though that system is outdated and i have Ubuntu currently on it and Ubuntu/Wine shows mentioned errors.

LFS should work via Wine: https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=2582

Just do not know why it do not work with my graphics card on Linux and if there is any workaround.
Errors launching LFS on the old Linux computer

Hello,

i have old laptop Dell D600 with Pentium M 1.6 GHz (CPU specs here: https://pastebin.com/R7gbSGFB) with Ubuntu 16.04.5 LTS (32bit)

i started executing commands and following tutorial from this chapter:
https://en.lfsmanual.net/wiki/Running_LFS_on_Linux#Install_and_configure_Wine

I have not downloaded binary mentioned in tutorial but the latest one from the lfs.net using torrent and then finished setup .exe without issue. When i try to launch LFS using wine (wine-1.6.2), following is returned:

0.6T blank screen after first start

After i was invited in game to download new 0.6T i proceed and finished installation into same directory as old LFS and then confirmed to restart LFS then once it started, it was loading some things in the bottom corner, then shown that it can not load my car setup (Nelze načíst auto hráče vit****)

shown logo and play music, but once logo disappeared i see nothing except playing music.

So i do Esc key. Update: i see when i wait long enough, it will show the screen to configure player language, and look. Ok, then i have to agree rules, then i see car XF GTI. I had bad feeling of damaged profile. But no, after proceeding i see my profile is there.

It may be good if black screen is not there during initial start or if there on it is some text explaining what is going on. And also not sure why it had problem with my car setup to be found, but it is not a big problem maybe, because i can later change car in game.

Community hosted server for high availability

Hello,

is it so that the main server to which all players connect when trying to play online races is a single point of failure? When it is offline, no one can connect any online play?

If that is so, maybe programmers can think about the way to remove single point of failure and allow distributed server.

The torrent can be used to serve web content (webtorrent.io), ipfs (www.ipfs.io) can be used to create decentralized distributed file system accessible via http. What about implementing this so we have nice uptime and no worries about server being shut down one day.

Thank you

What are ways to ban crasher?

Hello,

seen 2 people ruining races by crashing other cars while their cars can not influenced by the crash, also using some speed * hack. So the admin of the race server can ban, but votes usually are not sufficing to ban. What are other ways to ban?

Thank you, that is correct. F12 (while out of garage), then Shift + down/up arrow and then hit Enter on the Damages repair

Quite complicate if one want to do it quickly. For example i have it turned off, but during racing im damaged so it interupt proper driving and then it is complicated to enable repair while being on the track.
How to disable body/car repair on pit stop?

Hello,

game tells me i can disable body repairs by F12

i do this key i see repair enabled but no way to disable it?

Someone suggested up/down key but it seems does nothing, just rev the engine

My aim is to not waste time in pits while car goes properly

Thank you

I had similar issue. After download and first time install, i seen game logo and then black screen with music playing at loop, like frozen. Then editted C:\LFS\cfg.txt

i had this:
Start Windowed 0

And i turned it into:
Start Windowed 1
Antialiasing 0

Then it worked.. (i have small quite square monitor, with low resolution)
