silly me i used a black mask instead of white

u see i got the master skinners XRT_Pro kit and it came with a white XRT template and a black mask and a wireframe (witch i dont know how to use :schwitz

so i thought the black mask goes over the white template when i finished adding my pics/logos

maybe i have it all wrong

also i just drag and droped the mask into the skin when i opened it through GIMP

sry but do u mean as in like : i used a white template to make my skin so do i use a white mask layer

when i add the mask layer its double's the size of the skin & i dont see anything different to the none mask layer skin ive done

hay there guys...

this is my 1st ever try at skinning with no skills at editing/skinning

so with the pic's/logo's i put on the car, when i look at them in the game i can see the white/gray square around the pic/logo (look my pic to see what i mean) if ya look real closely u can see white background around the MCR on the side of the car, the logo on the roof has a gray square around it

so i dont know how to get rid of it

a bit of help would be so greatfull

a friend made a skin for me and i carnt upload it to lfsworld

error say's I'm sorry. For some reason I cannot handle your file. Please check if it conforms to the skin-file requirements.

the requirements are : Accepted skins are:
-JPG format (use the .JPG extension)
-car skins, must be 1024*1024 pixels
-helmet skins, must be 512*512 pixels
-no bigger than 400Kb (bigger images are accepted, but will be recompressed automatically to fit in 400Kb. But for the sake of quality, you should really compress them yourself.)
The uploaded skin's dimensions will automatically be optimized for most LFS users by resizing car skins to 512px and helmet skins to 256px.

so can some 1 plz resize my skin so that i can put it on lfsworld

all i want atm is the skin for my XRT or the FZ5 and hopefuly ill learn about skinning its just atm i dont have photo shop at all so i carnt have a go at skinning

but all is good if no1 can do it and if i carnt get photo shop looks like ill have to miss out on a skin

I need some 1 in there spare time to make MCR Racing Team skins x 3 for the XRT from a pic off my rFactor v8 skin or something near the same theme

so heres what i needed done :
: can u put MCR_Acer #10 on the rear side windows on 1st xrt & MCR_Alby #11 on the 2nd xrt& MCR_347 #12 on the 3rd xrt (if can be done)
: put a No. 10 for MCR_Acer & 11 for MCR_Alby & a 12 on MCR_347's on the side like where the 10 is in our v8 rfactor skin
: put a red YEAH YEAH in text on the front bar & put yellow/orange (the same colour that u use on the front yellow/orange of the car skin)on the back bar
: can u put MCR Racing on the back & front of the car in the same colours as the YEAH YEAH text

also if u want put yur painters logo on there put yur logo on the front and rear bars somewhere good to be seen
maybe the front and rear bars need some top named logo's on it & LFS logo's on the car if looks good and not to big

oh 1 more thing once some 1 have made my MCR XRT skin will it be easy to put the skin on other cars or u have to start from scratch ???
why i ask is so that if can put on other cars, that will save me asking some1 else to do it ??? but i dont even know how to paint also dont know how to view the cars in a viewer lol@ me

Guys i want to setup a server with cops & robbers in it like the [TC] City Driving server (if aloud to be) for us here in Australia cause most of the servers are over sea's and we getting high ping and getting booted alot

i dont know what u call these (i think something to do with insim ???) but this is what i want in my server

: the cops siren & caution signals
: the money thing that when u drive at 60mph u get +5 money
: when u speed in pit lane u get fined
: get fined when u press esc to get back to the pits without driving back to the pits
: have to pay when getting fixed or refueled at the pits
:and the licence thing where u have to buy a licence to get a car
: the rent thing where u can rent the good fast cars
: the police speedtrap thing

i think theres more i want but carnt remember what thay were

also i dont know if im aloud to use these cause ive only seen them on 1 server but have seen other like them on other servers

so a little help on getting the insim programing would be much appreseated

in the [TC] city driving servers there got cops in there and i want to start a local server with cops in it but i carnt find where or what it is or what i have to do ??? what im trying to do is setup a local server just like the [TC] server

so can some 1 plz help me setup up a city driving server with cops in it and other addon's i need to run it.

im new to LFS so that means im a noob lol so i dont know what im doin
