I'm pretty sure it will work on the newest 0.6R also, the only problem here is what are the names of the new DDS files responsible for the crowd textures.
hey, I just came up with a small issue which is something to do with the new Blackwood update, I believe (the new track is beautiful!).
Tried to install this DDS mod (https://www.lfs.net/forum/thread/87302) and even though all the files included in the mod can still be found in a vanilla LFS 0.6R version DDS folder, the mod doesn't work anymore as shown in the pictures of the modification.
Guess the names of the used textures has now been changed, so if this is the case, can someone please tell me the new ones?
Also, the tyres' smoke texture seems to be changed too, although DUST_ALP.dds is still used when driving on grass/sand. What is the texture's name for vehicles tires' smoke now, if it's even changeable?
Before the introduction of the dynamic reflections system, there was a setting in the game's configuration file which was controlling the car reflections' aggressiveness (Car Shine x.x). Now, if my cfg file isn't corrupted, there is no such setting.
Has this function been disabled or just the name of the setting has been changed?
so there are sky texture files in data/pic folder (BWskysunny1 etc), but there is also BWskysunny1_E file (same goes for all the other sky texture names from the pic folder) in the data/dds folder.
What are these _E files for? Are they somehow associated with reflections, lighting, from what I have found on the forum? Or are they an alternative way to change sky textures, aside from changing them in the data/pic folder?
Also, seems that neither /o ss_bmp nor /o ss_jpg work, atleast for me. Or the command is case-sensitive? /o ss_jpg works though.
Why the binds menu doesn't show binds that uses a command? I mean such binds as /shift i, /o dash and so.
And more pitty question - I just can't find the setting to rebind MMB button for LFSLazy's menu opening. The only solution I've found (if you meant that) is to use SHIFT+B while driving, but then it turns the whole UI off. Although it's better than nothing.
Yep, I saw that you can save photos in other than JPG format using command /o ss_BMP/JPG. Thought you could choose the default format somewhere in the LFSLazy settings or something. I guess I'll just have to bind it for now.
1. Fuel consumptions are a little buggy for me, they show unreal numbers. This was probably reported numerous times before, sorry if so.
2. Is there any way to turn off that big server/replays/buddies window in the main LFS menu?
3. Why does taking a shot with LFSLazy on really messes up the quality of the photo? Taking a photo without LFSLazy, it's nowhere as bad as with the program turned on.
4. The button to open the middle left menu should be changeable. It's now MMB, and I do use the MMB for clutch, so sometimes I turn the menu on accidentally.
This may be not even a bug, but I think turn singals keys (7, 8, 9, 0) should be either reserved like keys such as H, O etc., or else they should be changeable (or I'm just really blind and can't find it).
OK, so I'm going to be short. Transparent DDS skin's things (using alpha channel) DO work while previewing the skin in the garage, but DO NOT work while in a track (the area meant to be transparent are black).
Sorry for bumping such an old thread, but I really want to get this working again, if possible.
The sunroofs are pure black now, atleast on demo cars. I tried renaming the endings from ALPHA to _ALP, but it didn't change anything. Could this be cause by my game settings, or its just LFS, who made this impossible to work after some patch?
