Hey all. I really would appreciate it if someone could point me in the direction of some sort of XFG Endurance racing skin. I would be even more grateful if you create one for me yourself! I Am not too bothered about what it looks like, but I like simplicity. Something covered in logo's is not my idea of cool. I love logos and brand names, sure, keep them coming, but loads of different colours isn't cool.

Just see what you can do, and if possible I would love it really high-res like 2048 pixels or so?

Jeez for someone who says they are technically literate you do have some problems using Google to get round annoyances.

EDIT - I'm with garph - no issues about running Vista. Never had to "Run as Admin" or anything like it at all.

I have Vista and have never had any problems, maybe you're all using a different version to me?

no... you are right. I don't have any real issues with vista apart from:

The price
The "administrator rights" so I have to enter a password every time I want to open my documents.
Same as above for every folder on the computer.
Slow for gaming

But other than that, its OK. I hear people hate it because it crashes all the time and its really unstable but it's really not too bad. But the file administrator crap REALLY, REALLY annoys me.

Ok.. the reason it was hard is because I have vista trying it's best to hide every folder on this computer from me.

Sorted now. And the skins are sorted. Now they just work. Re-install fixed it. Weird as.

I have about 92FPS constant in game, with settings on full, but when I record with Fraps, I get 9FPS, maybe 10. On my old PC, (60FPS low settings) I would get about 20FPS when recording, so this can't be right. There is nothing wrong with fraps, it works with other programs just fine, but when with LFS it's terrible.

Any suggestions? Any settings need tweaking that could affect this?

why don't I delete the registry entries then??? I can do a manual uninstall very easily.

lfs is running as admin. Skins read only I dont know, but that doesnt seem to be a problem. Will try to re-install, but that involves me having to redownload because I never "save" I always "run".

If I dont run as admin I get an error with "could not read the fonts" or something, so it needs to be admin.

Well, they are all "XFG_blah" but there are some which are "XFG_blah_blah"... does that matter?

I have vista, and when I go into the skins folder, none of the skins appear, and then I click the button at the top called "compatibility files", and then they all show up. This used to happen. Any ideas?

Yes. Definitley. As I say, they always used to work.

Skins won't show up in the menu when I click on textures, or "new". I have them in the correct folder, with the correct name, and they all work because they all used to work since I installed patch Z.

I would like to know a fix for this, and will appreciate any help.

No... but that's a great idea. I know the folder is adminstrator protected.

When I go to download Patch Z IN GAME, it downloads, gets to 100%, then says

"DOWNLOAD: Could Not Save File"

If I try a manual patch, I get "7-zip" coming up saying, could not delete output file... then shows the directory of the file, and it is "LFS online Manual.url".

I also tried uninstalling LFS completely, and installing the full Z version, but an error at the final hurdle ruined it.

I am really lost as to what to do... and it seems no one else is having these problems.

Hey, I bought today the "Thrustmaster" wheel with pedals, and the pedals wont work with LFS. They work with windows (vista) in the game controllers, and all axis work fine in LFS under the "Axes/FF" tab under options. However, the two together are only under one axis (is this normal). When I click onto accelerator or brake to set a key command, it just wont work when I press one of the pedals! I have tried changing loads of stuff, like the "brake/accelerato" "sequental/seperate" etc and none of it works... I need some serious help... It might be really simple, or it could just not do it. What settings do you guys have for your wheels?
