Hmm I listen to music nearly every time I do race, helps me focus better. I the cases it doesn't I just change my music to something else.

I usually listen to some progressive, house, trance, hardcore or when I need to go really fast speedcore, terror or breakcore

Quote from Ian.H :I'm actually a very clean racer, IMO.. no one's ever complained when I've raced them anyway. Never been a pro, but when I worked as a kart mechanic back in my teens, I learnt all about race etiquette.. but by you blasting a 'blue flag' message, which I'd personally already be aware of your presence, I'd assume you'd be thinking I'm an idiot on the track, thus, you will pay the price for your wrong assumption. Give me a chance to assess my surroundings (which would be way before you were close enough to pass anyway) and there'd be no problem at all, and I'd give you all the room you needed.

It's called respect for fellow racers

Regards,

Ian

I get that point, don't get me wrong please. I don't "spam" it every time I want to pass a slower driver, I mainly do it when i already had one or more bad experiences with the slower driver.

I basicly drive the same, except for the fact that I send this message around once in a while.

Quote from The Moose :You do realise that spamming messages is more likely to cause accidents than prevent them don't you?

Anything that takes a drivers concentration away from the road is asking for trouble, and annoying messages popping up is one of the most distracting things possible.

This isn't about whether we are nice or not, it's about if we're right or not....and we are.

It is an official CTRA ruling that spamming 'Blue Flag' instantly invalidates your right to a clean pass.

You are right, in your example - the CTRA servers, and some others - that is; not everyone has 100% identical rules. I admit, a message distracts a driver, one of the reasons I request the pass on a straight before the corner where I can pass them without problems, you won't see me spam it like a tard before a corner or chicane where it is not possible to take over on a normal way.

Edit: for the rest, I still love you guys tho <3

Quote from The Moose :Being spammed by a blue flag spammer is a license to actively get in their way.

Sig_ZA, just carry on driving the way you are, ignore the morons who don't understand blue flags.
If you are being kicked from a server for driving correctly then that's not a place your going to miss.

Actually, when I see a slower driver up ahead I say "Blue flag let me pass please :: Blue flag let me pass please" once or twice to prevent accidents. Also, when I'm faced with a blue flag I tend to get of the gas and go a bit more wide to let the faster driver pass, might not totally be according to the rules, but it's a nearly 100% guarantee that the faster driver can pass me without causing problems for one of us.

On the other hand, it might be because of the servers I drive on

Quote from Venus :The other annoying thing, is the fox and fxr aren't much of a challenge anymore. The chicane in the fox at as2 was a beautifully technical corner, but now I even reduced my wing down to 1/3 from 3/5 and still it would go thru flat, with total ease. Before, it always skipped and skidded a little, with just slight instabilty, that was gorgeous. Now, even with 1/3 wing, it goes thru it like its on rails. The FXR is the same. Talking to people on servers who race fox who have tried it, seems many of those don't like it either.

I must agree since I'm an AS2/FOX junky. The car got casterated on a way a man even doesn't deserve. Yet I decide to support this game - if its realism it is, and the game is far from being final so things might change. Good or bad, realism overrules some things.

I personally like the new gearing system, makes me word harder ... and I'm khooked on SO6 + the new BMW, its fun to drive with the FOX too!

I might be new, and I might have had way to little sleep to get my PF of 1:00.69 on AS2 but I'm confident things won't stay this way; hopefully.

Keep up the good work!

Quote from JTbo :I guess it is that people don't understand what Alpha stands for. Maybe it is needed to limit test patch availability to only those that have been around bit longer?

That could leave some valuable testers out, not that I really see myself as one.. but I didn't want to miss this test for sure

Quote from Bones73 :I'm in. I bought my G25 around September this year (previously had Miscrosoft Sidewinder no FF) and it brought a whole new dimension to the game for me. Now I get to use the full potential of the wheel.

The new physics of the game have, to me, made it more like driving a real car without actually being in the car and feeling it move around like they do.

Because of the new physics, 1 thing I did was delete all my previous PB's and started from scratch. I figured "New patch, new physics, new feel.................new PB's"

Having a G25 has been my main reason to buy LFS S2 too, I did do GTR2 but LFS is more fun somehow, must be the online experience.. even tho I have not tried GTR2 online.

I've also driven with a MOMO at a friends place.. honestly, I feel sorry for any non-G25 racer Or its a hard learning curve, or they just suck
