selecting wrong display
Hi, great news for LFS + DK2!
I'm just having a problem getting it going. It's either rendering to my monitor (when it is set as main display) and looks great when it does!
So I set the Rift as main display but then it's rendering only one half?
I have all the settings as instructed...
Video card is a 290X and I have triple monitors. I've disabled the outside monitors for now.
This config works fine with Elite: Dangerous btw.
Any ideas?
Thought I'd best add that I wasn't prompted to exit when first selecting Rift mode.
Scratch all that!
Started again from scratch and this time it prompted and worked.

Reason : FIXED!
AS3 - possibly other AS variations
It's possible to illegally shave 2 secs off your lap time if you do the following:
Instead of driving thru to T2 (the slow, sharp left after T1) you dive into the secondary unused pit at full speed (in 6th hard to the floor) if you manage to negotiate thru the bumps (u'll get it after a couple of goes) you will hammer into the pit wall at the end of the pit, which of course a hard left.
This will most of the time wreck your car but every now and then you will get lucky and the damage will not affect the handling and allow you to complete the lap some 2 to 4 secs quicker than driving a correct lap.
This cheat is also possible when Hot Lapping! (Although, don't upload your lap! )
Answer? Disable the 2nd pit as a drive thru zone...?

F1 - bad idea as far as i'm concerned.
Most people can't seem to drive the GTi
Maybe only allow those within n% of the WRs to have use of the thing at least - online certainly!

computing has a tradition of notation where bits are always written with a small 'b' and bytes with a capital 'B'
The nominator should always be in caps :
Kb = Kilobit (1024 bits)
KB = Kilobyte (1024 Bytes or 1 KB)
Mb = Megabit (1024 KB)
Gb = Gigabit (1024 Mb)
GB = Gigabyte (1024MB)
etc.
and of course with 8 bits (and 2 nybbles) to a byte.

Many thanks for these setups. They have transformed my learning curve to one that now makes sense.
My laps are getting quicker by the hour and I feel almost ready to start tweaking for real now I REALLY understand/feel what the car is doing!
The only changes I made so far are softer braking power and I put the wheel lock to max. I get MUCH more feedback this way and much more opportunity to save a tricky situation.
Using DFP btw.
LFS(2) +these setups: simply makes you feel GOOD Cheers!

Works out of the box using v4.60.349 of Logitechs profiler. So far perfect with every driving game/sim - especially LFS & GTR, of course!
