I'm using the mouse buttons so yeah, throttle and brake is either on or off and no inbetween which causes problems. Even so, I think there are plenty of world record holders that use the mouse and don't have problems with going fast. I don't get it.
Some cars impossible with the mouse?

Are some cars impossible to drive well with the mouse, or does it just take time? The XRG seems to slide everywhere and I can't keep it in control. I've gotten better with the FBM now but I can still slide out quite easily. I had a go of the BMW sauber at a friends and that just seemed impossible to drive. I've tried various setups for the FBM etc but half of them just seem to make it slide even easier.
DFP calibration problems.

Hey guys, me again lol. Posted a couple of threads asking about DFP power supplys. Well I got one and everything worked fine. Loaded up LFS and the calibration seemed to be abit off. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and it re-calibrated but this time it seemed to take longer. Like 30 seconds, seems like it calibrated it 3 times to me. Now both of the green lights are blinking and nothing is working! Unplugged it dozens and times and it's doing the same thing. Does anyone know what's wrong? Seems strange it would just stop working like this so fast. Cheers.

Was reading around on some other forums and it sounds like I might be having a problem some other people have had. There's a switch inside that switches the wheel to 900 degree mode, but it's not working so you have to hold it down manually to get it to calibrate. If this is the case I don't wanna have to hold it down everytime :P

Was working 5 minutes ago, logitech...

BOLLOCKS. I reversed the end of the power supply connection (has removable ends) to make sure the polarity was correct and i think I just killed the DFP, not even getting a calibration now.

Hmm, that power supply is AC/DC but the DFP power supply is apparently AC, does that matter?

Nice nice, thanks alot man! Not sure how I missed that lol. It has quite a few connections so I hope one of them fit. Wish it wasn't £20 though, I'm moving out soon and short on the cash!

Hey, I posted a thread a little down the page asking what adaptor I can use from around the house but I couldn't find one so I have to buy one!

Would someone be so kind as to link me to a website in the UK where I can buy a power supply that works with the Driving Force Pro. I checked the Maplin website but couldn't find one. Thanks!

Quote from Whiskey :I heard of people using 19V adapters and they said that the wheel had less force. I don't know how much, but I wouldn't go to any less that 19V

Yeah I'd be worried about breaking it, but it would be worth a go even if I get weak force. I'll wait and see if anyone who knows for sure responds, thanks Smile

*EDIT* Never mind, none of the adaptors I've got worked :P

DFP adapter

Hey everyone, just logged into an old account to ask a question. My friend gave me his DFP but he doesn't have the adapter for it. If i use a lower voltage adapter (ie something like 14v instead of 24) will it damage it or just be abit weaker than usual? I can't get an adapter for a while because I'm pretty poor so I'd really like to use it until then. I've read you can use it without the adapter at the cost of no force feedback but I couldn't get this to work, or is that only on certain wheels? Thanks.
