Yeah I really enjoy it also. Another forum I am on had a hotlap contest with the FO8 at SO Town. That was a fun combo. I agree that it was very very hard to drive in the old version, but now you can even slide the car if you want.

There is no purpose since we measure the lap times. If we didnt do that, or didnt display the times, then the colors might have a purpose.

I guess I really dont like it, but next time do it too. Then after a few races the whole field will pit on the last lap. It will look like a nascar caution period. Today I did an experiment similar to this. It was a mandatory pit at SO classic. 10 laps in the FOX. I waited until the restart came up, then I went to the pits. once the race started I pulled out of the garage and stopped in a pit box. 1/2 second later I was free to go and I was only a few seconds behind the leaders. Not sporting, but I wanted to see if it would work.

That would be very tricky. The braking zone would be very close to the end of the chicane. The car is so upset there normally, it would be tough to brake.

Quote from Breizh :o/t - Quicksilver, those carts are fwd, right?

Every golf cart I have driven was rwd, because the batteries and motor are under the seat.

Mine works fine on my computer. In fact I never used it on the PS2. It is a DFP for the PS2. I am sure someone will jump in with the link to the drivers that allow you to custom program it, but even without those windows recognizes the wheel and it works fine.

I can run LFS pretty well right now, but also I picked up GTL. I can have the graphics on medium with a few cars and be around 30fps, maybe a little lower depending on when I am on the track. Are people able to turn the graphics all the way up with a 3.2 or similar? I was under the impression that my machine is a little weak since I built it around two years ago on bargain bin parts. i.e. under 200 for the mobo/cpu combo. I have since added the ram and the video card.
Anyone want to shop for me?? (New computer stuff)

Hey guys, I am looking to upgrade my computer. I now have a p4 2.4ghz cpu. 1gb of ram. I bought a geforce 6600gt OC agp video card the other day and that sort of gave me the bug to increase everything else. The problem is I understand the main numbers ie 3200+ and such, but all the FSB and other associated numbers are just gibberish. I would like to spend around 300 or less at new egg, so what do you recommend? I will be getting a case, but I can pick that out. Also since I am getting a new board, I am thinking I need to return my video card and get a pci-e card. Any recommendations on some good combos? I am not an intel or AMD fanboy, but I here AMD is cheaper for the same performance. Thanks for the help.

With more details I would be willing to participate. It just depends on time and date...

Thanks for holding the race. It was my first "real" race, and I kept my nose clean. I was pretty happy with it overall. I also had a left front puncture with around ten laps to go. Overall that was fun, thanks again.

Well first off the Miata has supperior handling to those car. Especially at autoX. The miata is smaller and transitions better. However in the game for me the reason I am faster in the FWD cars is simple confidence. I can romp on the throttle and if the car starts to understeer a slight lift pulls it back in line. My lap or race is still intact. In the rwd cars, I am very scared of the rear end stepping out so I take it easy on the gas. If you spin your lap or race can be ruined. I am very new to this game and I am still getting the hang of the signs of the rear stepping out. When I autoX it is very easy to tell and drifts are easily corrected (or continued, which ever you prefer :-))
