I don't know how you came to know this, but it helped me immeasurably.
I created an account just to post that using your help I have made a solution to fix this issue (where simply reinstalling drivers and changing usb ports was ineffective).

Hopefully it helps others who come across the thread later. It's just a small python script but needs a little setup.
