External Wastegate and Compressor Surge request

I'm looking for an engine and BOV sound. Basically, not really a BOV, but a turbocharged vehicle that doesn't have one, which causes the compressor wheel of the turbo to chop up the air causing a "sssss..tu-tu-tu-tu-tuuu" sound haha.

here's an example

At the start of the vid id the BOV I'm looking for

Here's the video of the ideal wastegate sound I'm looking for.. Once it spools it gets LOUD and MEAN

Thanks!!

New Licensed S2 Supra Racer!! Pictures

Hello everyone, I'm Matt. I'm 18 years old, and was fortunate enough to grow up around fast cars, engine technology and racing in general. My step-father was a Toyota Supra nut, is a General Manager at 1 of 4 Toyota Plants in the United States (20 minutes from home).

Anyway, he has helped me learn everything I have needed to learn about cars, and started me off with a good state of mind. Like taking time to do things the right way, work for what you have, be mature and always remember "There's never too much you can learn about these cars, so keep learning!"

Okay, Well at 14 I worked at a pizza shop locally to raise money for a 1983 Toyota Celica-Supra. I tinkered around with it and decided to turbocharge it before selling it.

At 16, I bought an extremely clean non turbo 1987 Supra. I put about 4-5k in this car. I have build threads on other websites but here's a pic from a photoshoot entry for Modified Magazine July 2008

Here's me next to the car

And here's the engine we swapped into it

Shortly after, I sold the car to save up with my step-father to buy a newer Supra, along with another 87 to daily drive.

It's a 1994 Toyota Supra. Renaissance red, Targa, 6 speed getrag swap, factory 2jz with denso injectors, apex i-safc II Neo, Single precision PT67-76 with anti-Surge housing. Here's a pic

It has 1998 taillights along with a small "outside" things, but on the inside it's a beast. 637 Horsepower at a conservative 18psi.

Anyway, thanks guys for reading!!! Any Supra fans out there let me know!!

I have version V so my buddy told me I can download a mod that lets me turbo the XRG. LFStweak I think it is?

Thanks for the compliment on the Supra.

But I'm not here to advertise. Anyway, if I didn't already mention, I'm using the demo, so if anyone decides to make this, I would really REALLY appreciate it being made with the XRT.

EDIT: Meant to say XRG. Funny how 1cm can make such a difference

That would be amazing.

Please and thank you!

Supra sound

Okay, I have searched many threads, and have came up with nothing.

I have tried using the sound mixer and editor, and nothing. I can't seem to figure out how to get this done

Here's my goal

1. Make the engine sound relatively deep at normal driving RPMs
2. Once you hit full boost, I want a different sound. Like an external wastegate, which is a much louder rich sound.
3. And the dose pipe BOV (I already have)

This would be great, but I can't figure out how to edit it.

Here's how I planned to do it.

1. Just edit the sound of the turbo at full boost, to a really loud 2JZ sound.

Here's a couple examples of external wastegates on Supras, you will find out what I mean by watching.

And here's another one (Skip the first few minutes)

If anyone could give me a hint to help, or possibly create this sound, I wouldn't mind to pay whoever takes the time to do so.

Sounds sweet. I don't know if everyone does this, or if I'm just weird. But I guess where I haven't got my license yet...

I kind of cruise around and floor it only on the straightaways. Sometimes I keep it under 3k. I think if the creators of LFS are trying to improve, I can always suggest these few things. I haven't seen a game with all of these yet, but really, I would be thankful with a few.

1. Turn signals activated with certain keys on the keyboard
2. When raining, and inside view is selected, wipers are on
3. Driver moves his hand down to shift (GT4 does this on topless (you know what I mean) cars)
4. Legs move according to the pedals they are/aren't pushing

And last but not least, the 2 clutch settings

1. Race setting - depresses faster
and/or
2. Cruise setting - depresses slower and smoother

Or maybe an option that lets you adjust the press/depress rate.

I know programing isn't easy (C++ for 3 months, failed, returned to watching others do so), but that's just me. Like I said, just something I would love to see in a future game.

Yeah, I've heard a lot of good input on the R154 transmission, and that's why I'm going through with it.

I love LFS, but I just wish there were actual cars. Such as the mark four Supra, and a couple exotics.

Is there going to be a LFS 3? And if so, what will it be like?

Wow I was gone for a couple days and came back to a bunch of wonderful replies! Thanks everyone!

Yes I get the "Aww, man, it's an automatic" Just about every person who is interested in my Supra. Well that's about to change..

We decided to go with the R154 transmission (5 speed in turbo MA70's) with a stiff clutch (In or out, no in-between ). We are going to drop the 2jz from a naturally aspirated 1995 Supra and do a NA-t using a single turbo. We still haven't decided yet, but I figure no need to as of now knowing that the swap itself is going to be time consuming.

I have plenty of time to decide.

And I'm planning to register LFS as the demo is amazing, and I can't wait for the others. Is online as fun as the regular game?

Actually auto's run more consistent times at the track, but I would still rather have a 6speed. We are either going with the getrag 6speed transmission or the Th400 platform.

Still haven't decided yet

Quote from rainspecialist :your 15? and u drive? and u owned 3 cars now? and you had a job? hmmmmmmmm?

Only 2 cars, both Toyota Supras, and both lucky finds.

Yeah I've had 2 jobs, one at 14 holding a sign for a pizza place. And now I'm currently working with/for my grandpa arc welding. We usually weld handrails but sometimes hitches and farm equipment/repair.

As of driving, nope, in the state of Kentucky you have to be 16 to be a permit holder, 16 & 1/2 to be an intermediate license holder, and 17 to be an unrestricted license holder. But I still take it around the block after tuning =D

Quote from Aiden McGeady :You've owned 2 Toyota Supras?

Yup, one was a 1983 Celica Supra, which should also be on my photobucket account as well. I've been a member on various Supra forums for years.

The 1983 Supra I bought for 250$ for working at a pizza place. Ended up saving money, tapping the oil pan, slapping a 7m manifold and ct26 on the 5m, and a nice rising rate fuel pressure regulator and at 8 psi, it was a beast. We ended up blowing the stock head gasket not to long down the road (I really wasn't suprised) and we then parted the car out.

Then I bought a 1987 Supra when I just turned 15 for 1900$. I bought it automatic non-turbo with a fresh paintjob and only 140k on the body, and we are currently in the process of a 2jz-ge-t swap.

As for live for speed, it's an amazing game and I can't wait to scrape up enough for the license!

Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum, but not forums in general.
A friend showed me his registered Live For Speed game and man I was impressed. So I downloaded the demo and I'm loving it.

To start off I'm 15, and I've owned 2 Toyota Supras. One was a 1983 Celica Supra. We did a na-t on it, and eventually parted it out. Now I own a 1987 Mark 3 Supra, and I can't believe how close it is to the XRT in LFS. I have brought pictures along with me, and was just introducing myself.

Also, I would like to note I have been searching this forum for a little over a month and decided I'm ready for a new home.

Enjoy the pics everyone!

-Matt
