I've been with lfs from the beginning till now, guess that makes me an oldtimer.

I always loved to play lfs, even now when free-play time is very limited due to life changes. Thats why i dont want to come over here and moan why this, why that.

Only remark i wanted to give is a bit business related :
The VWS is released in 2008.

LFS got the rights to use the car in the game. They annouced its future in-game presence pretty fast (great !).
If i was CEO of VW i would like to get my new car in commercials, flyers, ... everywhere, asap. Including LFS.

Seeing it in a game 1 year, maybe 2 year laters after release, would not get me too excited to be honest and make me doubt my decision.

If i would develop the game, I wouldnt focus on bringing the VWS out, but more on new tracks, more cars/class, ... Off course i know there will be business deals that require a realistic VWS release someday.

I personally am not waiting for a new FWD car. I seem to be stuck in the TBO class that for me still is max-lfs-fun. XRT still is my fav. car.

i had a fun event this time. Really like the rx thingie and fe rallycross was always one of my favorites.

Qualy was above expected, hit the '11 in a good lap.
Race 1 started on pole and seemed to keep the tires cool not sliding around too much. Shame bout the last lap where i disconnected, my internet connection was down for some reason.
Race 2 was fun going from last place to a winner. Had a blast trying to get past kamo who was very well trying to close the gaps. Last lap he just ran out of options, troy on his right and me sneeking in on the left going for the outbrake attempt.
Race 3 i had a wrong race tactic, trying too much to spare the tires and at 4 laps from the finish it hit me i had to try and go forward, pushing it too much and making silly mistakes.
Great fun this combo, love rallycross, but the community is rather more circuit minded.

no complaint, but just something i noticed yesterday

* no talking during position assignment for the race, makes the whole process a lot faster

We do this the same way in the rxc league, and it works perfectly

i had one terrific race on server 1. Qualy was good for the last spot, nr 32 on the grid. Verrry motivating to NOT finish last lool

Managed to work my self up to the 13th spot, which was above all expectations. Racing was very clean, and great fun.

We want more !

i'm into rx racing. Even better, i did it 5 years real life with a escort mk2.

A track like the belgian "duivelsbergcircuit" is on of the better real life track around. The organisation of this track has won several times the price for best track on the european rallycross scene.

I've done quite some rx leagues and i can tell ya, the talent of those guys is amazing. Rx is a whole different discipline in lfs and requires different driving then the tarmac tracks. The lfs physics are perfect imo. Only that contact bug was quite a pain in the close racing rx finals we had.

The tracks as they are now, are too jumpy imo. Rallycross is not about jumping. Ok there are some real life tracks with maybe a jump. But these are rare. I would beg for some more technical less jumpy rally X tracks.

The cars as they are are ok, but off course some more powered rwd cars, or lemme refrase this, lighter rwd cars would be nicer. Real life rx cars are like bombs on wheels. Ultra light, and accellerate like hell. A good example of finger licking RX in real life is the Volvo Cup, or Internationals Cup. High powered rwd volvo's, bmw's ... This is the creme de la creme for me. Div 1 off course if phenomenal too.

As i used to race a mk2 escort, i can say what is know for years and years, this car rocks to race ! the handling is fantastic imo.

Hope maybe one day some RX addition will be made for lfs.

Filip.
