Hi everyone,

i saw that thread: ''Skidsounds sourced from NFSU'' and i saw that he got the skid sounds from NFS:U (wich is very cool), so i tought why can i not do something like that.

I remember that in FAR CRY 2 on the PS3 there was an awesome WIND sound wich sounded very realistic. and after spending some hours for finding that file , i copied it, opened it in GoldWave v5.5 and removed that NOISE (yes the first thing you hear is SSSSSSTTTHH.. and that is not what we want in LFS :tilt Exported it as an .wav file and replaced it with: WindExternal.wav and the same thing for the Road.wav file.

Anyway here are those files, just extract it in your LFS\DATA\SOUND folder and overwrite if it asks.

hey i tried those .abk sounds from underground 2 and they're not working, just making that sssttt or prrrwt sound.., to bad, those skids and turbo/gearbox sounds are quite cool. im using Goldwave v5.5 maybe thats the problem?

E: i found an option in my program called: ''Noise Reduction'' and i got the skid sound very clear (with an stupid echo) but i got it! I'll upload it when it is finished

hi can someone upload somewhere else like rapidshare or 2/4-shared? because im using my edge modem and some pages doesn't want to open hmm.. (normal internet is too expensive in my country)

hellow all i was planning to upgrade my current system to a higher one
my budget is 500euro

my current rig is:
AMD Sempron 3200+ s939 running @ 2.92ghz ( OC'd)
3GB DDR ram (corsair)
ATi HD2400PRO 512MB DDR2
80GB HDD and 20GB HDD

you can say some pc components that i can upgrade

OR

do you people want a PC for me to cooperate?
it doesn't need a HDD and not a super expensive CPU and Video card,i want to play some games from this generation :P

but when i installed winXP on it (lite version) it doest want to boot.

EDIT: Tris, just saw your effort.. It's pretty good. May i point out a few things? Good.. The blur is a bit dodgy, best way to do blur is duplicate the whole image and apply the blur filter to it a few times. Then, use the rubber, or lasso tool (if you're confident!) to delete the object you dont want blurred - this will show the unblurred layer beneathe and will give a nice overall effect. I hope to god that makes sense!

Also, there's too much noise on there.. looks really distorted and appears to be a picture taken with a 30p throw-away camera from the 1970's. Tone it down, and take away some saturation to make it stand out a little more crisp. Hope you find this constructive..
