I'm fairly new to this game and thouroughly enjoying it. I've had it since January but I can't seem to get my lap times to be competitive. I'm always about 3 or 4 seconds slower than the faster drivers in the race. At the moment I'm concentrating on Blackwood circuit with UFR, FBM and FOX. I've tried downloading different setups but others always have the edge on me round corners and braking. Have also downloaded the setup guides to try my own setups but with no progress.
Generally I find that if I brake to late I understeer into the corner and if I brake earlier I get hit from behind or get overtaken.
Can anybody please give me some advice as I would really like to improve my lap times by 2 or 3 seconds.

I'm using sequential shifting without clutch. Just change with my foot down.
Burnt clutch in UFR
Hi,
Can anybody tell me why my clutch is burning out after only 4 laps in a UFR race. It doesn't seem to happen in any other vehicle.

Advice on car setup

I've been using lfs for a couple of weeks with a wheel and am currently concentrating on Blackwood and Fox car. I can't seem to get my best time below 1:13:90. I've been watching other drivers and noticed they get to 222Km/h at the end of the straight where as I was getting 216Km/h. I've now changed my down force and gear ratios and am getting good top speeds but I now have too much understeer and hence have to go slower into corners. I have downloaded car setups which claim to be near WR setups but unfortunatley I then find the car very difficult to handle, especially with too much oversteer. I can't seem to find a happy medium. Can anybody please offer some advice to improve my handling and hence my lap times.

Formula V8 & BMW Sauber F1
Hi All,
Please forgive my possible ignorance as I am new to this game. After many hours of fun I now want to try the Formula V8 and BMW Sauber F1 cars but I find that the car will not accelerate beyond 79Km/h. All other cars work fine but I would really like to try these cars and get some practise on them. Can anybody tell me why this is and how to solve it.
