For me, it's like the development of LFS is non-existent because it's so EXTREMELY slow. It's like no one cares that the earth will get eaten up by the sun because it's 1000 billion years in the future.
Great that the physics will get improved, and great that they will release the Scirocco, but i don't care because it's years in the future.
I think that's is why i have stopped playing LFS..
You can't see it in screenshots, you can only see it when you are moving.
Like i said.. nhancer/nvidia control panel made the graphics look wonderful, so i want to get the nhancer/nvidia control panel settings work in LFS.
Yes i do, i can get AA and AF now if i set it in the game.
But the problem now is that any of the settings which i change with nhancer/nvidia control panel doesn't work.
So i get shimmering textures/fences and stuff when i move in the game, it really looks horrible imo, before i could fix it with nhancer by setting transparency AA and gamma correction, though i think only transparency AA fixed it.
Apparently the AA (Anti Aliasing) and AF (Anisotropic Filtering) settings ingame doesn't work at all, nothing changes at all when i change the settings.
Usually you can see a very big difference when you switch AA and AF on/off, but i can't see any difference whatsoever.
I have also tried to set the settings with nhancer, same thing, nothing happens.
But the weird thing is that i seem to have AA on as default, i don't see any jaggies anywhere when i have the AA off, i have even tried to force the AA off with nhancer, still no jaggies.
You can easily see if there is any AA or not.
Also since none of the settings in nhancer works i get alot of shimmering and stuff, usually i have fixed the shimmering fences etc with nhancer, but without the nhancer settings the graphics looks very bad.
Is LFS color aware?
So when you have a calibrated monitor (with a calibrating device like Spyder 3 Elite) LFS actually "notice" it and use the calibrated ICM/ICC profile?
Because i noticed a clear difference when i compared calibrated and non-calibrated, i couldn't believe me eyes when i saw it, because i thought NO games take any benefit from software calibration with a hardware calibrator..
Just wanted to be sure if LFS really is color managed/color aware.
About the numberplate thingy.. would be nice if it would change automatically to the country where you are from.
Then everyone can see where everyone is from, then you don't need to ask in cruise servers: "where are you from?" ^^
Some road cars do have indicator for shift-up. And more and more cars is getting it.
There is pretty many cars with manual gearbox which have indicator for shift-up.
Actually it's more useful with fully manual gearboxes.. why do you need the indicator if the gearbox decides when to shift? ^^
More and more irl cars is getting the indicator because of the hunt for lower fuel consumption, so this is a weird timing for removing the indicator..
It should have been the other way: the indicator shouldn't have existed before but they should have ADDED it now ^^
EDIT: but umm.. the shift-up indicator in LFS works totally different than irl ^^
In LFS it's meant for maximum performance and irl it's meant for lowest possible fuel consumption.
So yeah they shouldn't have added the indicator thingy in the first place.. it's unrealistic.
I have noticed my wheel "whistles" (don't know a good word in english) a bit sometimes. It's almost like a loud cat miaow.
Once when i was playing hard i heard a pretty loud "whisteling" (i was using headphones), and i thought wtf was that?
Then i realised it was my wheel. Just before the whisteling came i set the ffb to 200 in game, maybe i broke something? :/
I'm really a bit worried.. maybe i have played too hard with the wheel? but i don't think so because it's made for racing enthusiasts..
Have anyone of you experienced the same thing?
EDIT: When i play with ffb on 35 and listen closely without headphones i hear pretty often a little "peep" from the wheel.
I really can't get in reverse, it's impossible.
Anyone have an idea why this happens or how it can be fixed?
It's very annoying when u can clearly see where the R should be..
What settings do you guys have in the logitech profiler? spring things, dampening etc.
My wheel makes pretty much noise when turning it fast.. i know it's hard to know if it's normal or not, but if i turn it and someone is sitting let's say 5 m away from it, he gets disturbed of the noise.
And i can hear the noise when i play with headphones.
is it same thing for you all?
And if i drive on a straight in LFS and move the wheel to left and right a bit, the FF makes the wheel automatically "jiggle" to left and right, but usually not so much that i loose control of the car.
Is it same thing for you??
Help appreciated.
btw, in logitech profiler i can't set the wheel turn to for example approximately 720 degress, closest is 718 degrees, i guess it's normal?
Ok thx.
Just got my G25.. i have revision 101 :P
It's newer than 0.5 atleast =) and my H shifter don't have the click sound and that means i have a pretty new revision.
EDIT: Got some "issues" with my G25.
For the first, the wheel makes terrible noise when i turn it fast, i don't know if it's normal..
the wheel sounds loud even when i use headphones.
and I can't get in reverse on the H pattern gearbox.
