Since the devs seems not to care about the heat physics from the dawn of lfs drifting, at the very least they could give us the option to lock the temp. I dont see this any different from the enabling of mod support with the latest update.

I hope devs can proove me wrong and show us they care about the drifting community even if its the "wrong" way to do it.

Or even better release the other tyre model we keep hearing about for many years.

Game Stock Car Extreme is diffidently one of the best "out of the box" sims that doesnt need fiddling around to get right.
Awesome sounds,(DAT V12 F1... ) way better graphics and Niels and Reiza studios did a very fine job on physics ,gmotor(1) engine at its finest i say...

I always use 900 on all cars in LFS. I only change one thing that makes a big difference.
If im going to drift i put wheel turn compensation on 0.00 so i can use the very end of the deegrees when goin sideways.
If im goin to grip i use wheel turn compensation 0.01
That .01 will make the steering more responsive for regular racing but it will have a deadzone at the very end of the max deegrees.

IMO most of the rims cost way too much money. Best think you could do is just buy the adaptor with the buttons that control the setting and then buy real steering rims to your liking. Doesnt need to be high end rims. You can cut the cost down by getting some replica wheels and installing them on the adaptor

You guys are doing it wrong lol!! Wth did you manage to mess up and everything is has problem.
Rf1 and rf2 have deffinetly the potential to produce one of the most bad ass sounds in any simracing game.(take example Enduracers)
rFactor 1 is a bit of pain in the ass to set i know that and the good mods are only good with realfeel plugin(if you guys know what this is)
I can list you the better mods if anyone want to give it a go.
This has a lot more developement in mods this is why some are veru high level in terms of physics and sounds.
Even some amateur mods that i know are bad ass.

As for rfactor 2 that is still not used from many modders is already up to pace and in some cases better. This time ISI own car are also very good compare to the stock crappy cars that rf1 had.

Quote from Hyperactive :Is the enduracers mod really good in tire physics wise? I remember reading that it has the same basic problem with too much grip drop off at high slip angles?

Top mod team did the best job that anyone could extract our of isi engine.
They are using real car data to create cars n tyres.
I have a friend who i met though LFS (fastest driver ive known) the guy is a real pro race car driver driving similar cars in this mod.. he approoves...

Quote from BWX232 :Physics kind of suck though.

I will recommenced you this . THE best street car mod ever made till date..
Coming from a real car backround i aproove this.
This is an amateur mod made from a great guy and great modder.
The tyres are made with help of the allmighty Niels
This mod is used for both drifting and grip. and that matter from the setup you do and upgrades you choose

(maybe u need to register in my teams forums for this)

And then there is this mod made by pros.
My personal opinion , there is nothing better than this in terms of physics, sounds and models.

Well, maybe we won't call your mum, but we'll definitely be worried.
  • a multigaming group, that's racing, drifting and general gaming (preferably co-op)
  • long-lasting - Fortitude was established in 2008 and we're still here. MultiMod, our tweak-enabled LFS-Server is one of the oldest LFS-Servers still up and running
  • well-equipped - our game hosts run on dedicated machines Server name: 42D Multimod(tweaked server) 42D Origin(stock server), we have our own VPN, Mumble (VoIP) and a solid file sharing infrastructure
Here's what we are NOT:
  • a competitive racing or drifting team, we're in it for the fun
  • an LFS-exclusive team, we race, drift and play a wide variety of sims and games
  • an activity-based "on-demand" group, when you're a member of Fortitude, you are just that all day and night, not just when racing/drifting/gaming together
We're looking for people who are
  • active in at least LFS and rFactor, but open to trying other sims and games as well (Game Stock Car Extreme , Assetto Corsa , Richard Burns Rally,Power & Glory 3,...)

Quote from Matrixi :Not everyone who is disappointed feels that way. Some of us only want to see LFS to keep growing and finally achieve the full potential of the amazing engine it has. There are two ways for an unfinished game (which LFS clearly is) to stay interesting, either continuos updates from the developers, OR full modding support so the community can keep themself occupied while the developers do their thing. All we need are the tools to do that. Leave the game engine development (physics, weather, graphics etc) for the developers, and let the community take care of the optional downloadable user created content (cars, tracks).

I do agree with you that LFS has been the best damn money I've ever spent on any software, sadly that isn't the problem here.

I totaly agree with you , If it wasnt for the mods and tweaks LFS would die long time ago at least for me... With the new Tweaks that were released from a special dude who know his way around lfs tweaks i would kinda quit lfs and waited for that update. instead i can do various things (do a Branded engine setup, change the size and way of tyres etc) to keep me entertained in lfs.If im not mistaken i think everything can be modded except the tracks and shape of the car (actual aero shape not just looks) .. Tyres have been modded aswell to other specs.
Personal opinion i would be happy for just some more Real tracks.

Being in the Real life racing and owning a race car i can gurantee that LFS even if it stays stationary it is actualy spot on. LFS actualy tought me how to drive , i my self dont even believe that i can drive they way i do JUST from lfs, and if they actualy wanted more money BEFORE the update i would happily give them to them.

As for Werd's statement i agree on that too, Just some statement from the developers and then let it be discussed from others.. no need for more answers to question that will be deffinetly be asked (beacuse some men are too greedy) i could ask questions and requests to the devs till i die but i wont cause im way to happy with tis astonish simulator... Although they dont even care what we say. So just some words every 1-2 months would be great and lock the thread. no need for others to join the thread and start the usual..

Cheers

Hi man .. sad that u havent solved the prob yet.
another think u could try is finding another wheel with force feedback and try it (no need for g25) if it does this again then its software related if it doesnt then g25 maybe fried its brains or something..
Does the warranty still stands?
