has anyone used the ps4 controller yet? im a big collector of controllers and general, and i usually use a steering wheel, but in terms of a normal controller, the ps4 one knocks it out of the park! not only does the analog sticks and triggers feel great and are a huge improvement over the ps3s, i hooked it up to my pc no problem and the triggers are on separate axis! i used to run into the problem with 360 controllers where they combined the trigger axis and that was annoying since you cant gas and brake together

my setup is left stick - steering, triggers- gas/brake, square - shift up, X - shift down, L1 - clutch(button), right analog stick down- ebrake.

i bought this controller at a gamestop a couple days ago just cuz it was on sale for only 30 bucks and ive been really curious cuz it looked like it was really comfortable and it actually is! it seems like a weird setup but once you get your thumb on that wheel it feels so amazing, hell even just using the analog would be awesome cuz although its not really supposed to be used much in this, its WAY better than the 360 one i used, and even a little bit better than the ps3 one...the dpad is cool too.

only problem is, when i connect it to the pc, it works but its only analog for the stick and the "wheel"...the triggers and gas/brake are not! the thing is, its touted as having pressure sensitive gas and brake, and i believe it works ok on the ps3, so is the problem just getting correct drivers or something? cuz it ends up being a generic usb controller when plugged in. is there a way to customize the controls so i can get the analog pedals to work?


its a great feeling controller and although it has digital pedals i still use it on lfs, but id love to get some REAL control. thanks in advanced

i have a feeling these kids who cite the dictionary an other sources get there ass beat all the time in school. who cares if drifting isnt exactly racing becuase it isnt timed(btw, it is.its not as important to the judges but it is.). i dunno, when ever im in a drift server, i usually try to over take the person in front of me, and in D1GP they do the same,

well anyway, weather you call it a motorsport or a racing technique or whatever, it seems to be a little bit easier around the tracks...im liking the new patch! even so much, that i actually started using forumula cars! now ive never been a big fan of them before or even too much of grip racing in LFS, but ive been doing more of it lately...i dunno maybe its a mind thing with the new patch...

does it matter if this game isn't EXACTLY a drifting simulator? IMO, it is. it is because it simulates real drifting on realistic cars.

also, the main reason i bought this game was because it was the best damn racing game for drifting and the autocross screamed "drift layouts" to me. i'm pretty sure theres many others who got this game for drifting which means us drifting fans are helping out the LFS community by buying the game.

sorry, i've been roaming around the forums and I'm really tired of seeing nit picky people breakdown every word in the English language and every sentence a person says to make their ego that much bigger.

is there a program that i can use for the momo/dfp so i can make button presses for things like pit, shift buttons, etc

i wanna do this because i use both of my wheels ( dfp for drifting and my momo for racing/formula cars...feels be to me IMO)

i thought of using the profiler, but ive done everything possible to get that thing working and it hasnt worked at all for me, unless someone can walk me through the process

the second i jumped into Z, i dunno it might of been a mind thing but the rb4 felt...really smooth drifting. it felt kinda easier, but thats not really the word im trying to find

i had absolutly no problems and i have vista, so you can rule that one out...have you used too many unlocks maybe? severs busy?

aw man, do you think its possible to make it so that my shifting on the ffshift registers as a up/downshift?

IE: going from 1st to 2nd on my ffshifter would just be like a sequential shifter, or going from 4th down all the way to 2nd would be 2 downshifts?

thats a shame, i was kind looking forward to shifting on high powered cars with my ffshifter

for whatever reason, my ffshifter doesnt work with mostly GTR cars, i havent tried anymore. they work perfectly for the rb4, xrt, all the upper cars, but the GTRs and the formula 1s.

does anyone know why?

hey i was wondering if anyone have made new ffshifter plates that work better than the default ones....i tried to make one but it frustrated me so much. i was trying to go for a more realistic one, but the program was too confusing...has anyone made any improved shifter plates?

i have a DC adapter in there ready to power all the LEDS, theres about 7 or so switches/rockers that have builtin LEDS and 4 LEDS with built in resistors to use when i press the push buttons down. i have a good understanding about wiring, ive done a couple projects before, but this one kinda overwelms me and ive invested a lot of money into making this so i wanna make sure it WORKS.

my first question is, how would i go about wiring the LEDS so that they light up when the button is pressed? heres a pic of what i did but got no where on:

well anyways, i havent played layouts this fun in a while...very nice! isnt thats what its all about? making fun layouts? awesome job man please keep it up with the d1 layouts

is there anyway to make the DFP quieter becuase i love my DFP except for the fact the wheel is so loud! anyone know how to fix this?

drift tracks are designed with long lines in mind for linkage of drifts...not for speed and most of the time, not meant for more than 2 people on a track at a time, imo

yeah, i bought an DFP used for 20 bucks and this thing doesnt seem like its even possible to wear down...and you can always buy a crappy used wheel at a game store and use the pedal on that for a clutch...make sure the pot in it is analog, unless you dont mind of digital pedals

wow, i wont even buy lfs until i get a g25 cuz i want the best possible experience and i have a DFP right now... but an s2 with a mouse and keyboard? at least you coule pick up a gamepad for 10 bucks off of ebay or something...
