I used KB for over a year while in demo... I ran 113's FBM all day and rarely ever crashed... It's just a matter of personal preference..... To this day 3 years later i can still run 113 all day using KB But lets face it driving in a racing sim with a wheel is a much better feeling.

Im didnt post to promote or convince anyone to join iracing... I could care less... This is a forum where people express there opinions, isn't it?????????????

LFS is a great sim for the money you pay... In my opinion, it is the best deal going for the money... With that being said.... I am tired of all the children in LFS and i have no patience for them and inconsiderate punks anymore... I played LFS for 2 years.. I had some great times racing and making friends along the way.. But over the last few months i lost interest for many reasons..... I have been playing iracing for 3 months now and it is by far, superior to LFS in every way....The cars are better, Real classes, Graphics are better, sound is very realistic, and the cars drive like the real thing....If you are an oval racer it is awesome.. BUT, it is expensive. I have spent over 200 dollars in the first 3 months for cars and tracks, and i have only purchased about 1/2 of all cars and tracks available...The other downside is the fact that in iracing you cant race with whoever you want in a sanctioned race as they establish grids by ranking..... There are however alot of privately hosted races and events where you can race with your mates..... There are several classes in iracing starting with R, D, C, B, A, P.... As you move up in class you find better and better racers.... I am in class B and the quality or racers is very very good.... 3 wide for several laps without touching... Great stuff... UNLIKE LFS.... I will say that LFS is a great place to learn, and i met some great people while being a regular on LFS.....

I have been Spending alot of time learning the iracing game... One of the things i miss , is the interaction with other racers and racing with people i know, and enjoy racing against... I am wondering how many lfs users also play iracing??? I am thinking of hosting a weekly event on peoples favorite combos. I am about to move out of the legends class , and i have been practicing trucks... It is so much more realistic than lfs, but you cant race with your friends unless you host an event yourself.. So if you play iracing and are interested let me know.. I will be sure to inform you of our events and ask your input on track and car selection....

TEAM IMAGE
Team image is important in any type of competition. In the first six months we have shown LFS that all IHR members are 1. Competitive, 2. Respectful, 3. Clean racers, 4. Helpful to all. We have also shown that we can provide and manage excellent servers.. I personally feel that IHR as a team has an EXCELLENT REPUTATION AND IMAGE.
MULTICLASS SERVER
Since Cargame COPIED our server almost exactly (except for standards) we have seen a lot of people go there… This was compounded by the fact that I raised requirements for all categories of racing in our multi server…. We all know that LFS noobs always follow the crowd.. I will be honest, I hate seeing them full and IHR not….. But, I don’t want to lower our standards so all we have is a full server of idiots… We need middle ground.. Recently we have made several changes to the multi server…. Hopefully this will improve usage to a reasonable level… I for one was getting burnt out from having a full server for 6 months solid….. A good place to be is to have an average usage of 25 racers during peak times.. This will give us great racing and a manageable server.
GT SERVER
We will be starting a GT server with GT1,GT2 and GT3…. The plan is to keep it simple… We will attach full airio with a points system.. We will use only one GT class on each track, this will put all racers in the same car for each track… We will rotate using GT1 on larger tracks and GT2 and GT3 on smaller tracks . This Server will be up within the week…..

I agree with Sparky,,, Clean racing = zero contact... But this is a sim with alot of kids.... If i pass someone after making contact i give position back. Of course sometimes when racing others that you know, its fun to bump and rub a little, but just when playin around..

Great point about the lag factor Dave...If you want clean racing, go to LR race center or IHR....These servers are well monitored and both have experienced regular racers....

I dont do alot of responding on any forums.... I see someone (rockclan) who is serious about LFS and putting together a strong team by promoting ideas and thinking outside the box... Most people just show up and exist and contribute nothing..... My hats off to you sir for trying to make lfs a better sim.... Too everyone that thinks he is a capitolist pig just trying to make a buck.....Next time you just show up at someones server,,, take a look and think about how much work has been put into the server to make it as user friendly as possible.. Not to mention who pays for the server every month and organizes the server as a whole....

In response to many people saying they want IHR's clean racing, but since we raised our racing requirements that many people cant race there and race elsewhere... So we have lowered entry and class requirements as well as added fz50, RAC, UF1 and .... We hope to see you there for the cleanest racing on LFS as o0f today cars available are ALL fendered cars

I used KB for almost a year while playing demo... I was very competitive. 113's with fbm on bl1...... I didnt use look buttons, so i had to learn to listen for cars in my blind spot..... Bottom line,,, you can compete with kb until you get access to a wheel.... Then you have to learn to drive all over again....
I recommend chase view when using keyboard to improve vision and that way you can see your back tires start to break loose.. since no feedback with kb

All i can say, is thanks Havoc for your voice of reason and uncommonly good sense..........As you said... If people were really concerned with clean racing and badass admins..... Most people know where they can find just that.....

I have been playing LFS for almost 2 years now. And it isnt event close too where it was then...I started IHR because i thought i could stop the slow death, if we offered something clean and competitive.... So i gathered up some great people and went to work.... But after all our catering, dedication, long hours of asking our guests questions and thanking them for input, drama, etc etc, we accomplished something pretty good.... But after all that, one of the many people that couldnt follow the simple rules, copied our server to the tee.. I mean every command... This is sad.... It showed me the type of people that play LFS. The reallly sad thing is that all those people we took interest in accomidating are racing there also.... sad sad situation. The following are just the sad facts.. You know what they say... YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR

Each driver is considered a team.. driver substitutions are fine, no restrictions. Substitute drivers must use their own nickname…Substitute driver’s must be confirmed by registered league driver, (driver they are subbing for)…all points earned by sub driver will go towards registered drivers points

BLACK FLAG = When you see BLACK FLAG look to top left chat, and or ventrillo to See who has been black flagged
PENALTIES = All penalties will be issued by ADMIN
You will be spectated if you argue penalty during race…After race you may argue penalty to all RACE admins..if it is determined that penalty was unjust, you will be awarded points for position you held at time of penalty.

(ventrilo is used in all IHR events
1. Admins will regulate race in ventrilo
2. Racers are allowed to use ventrilo to chat during race
3. All in race commands will be given on screen in all situations
4. Admins will confirm all race commands via ventrilo
5. Commands given on screen superceed ventrilo commands
6. There will be an open channel for all racers, and private team channels also…

I am open to any suggestions,,, I agree that the flatout oval racing gets old fast...... So please give your suggestions to Ori,, as he will be in charge of our oval server......He will have all final decisions after consulting other IHR
members including myself... Ori will oversee all rules and day to day managing of the oval server...

So please see him for all ideas and suggestions
