Every question and answer I had is on this thread-Thanks for starting it and thanks for the great helpful replies-I thought it was only my wheel doing this.

I am getting serious lag problems and was wondering if anyone could help.
I have a 3mb broadband line,2Gb of ram,intel pentium 4,Nvidia club 3D 8600GTs card.I've done a defrag -disabled antivirus etc when on LFS-I haven't MSN or anything.I've also scanned for spyware etc.
In game I'm getting a frame rate of 90 -but still the Lag.
I do not want to race with this as its unfair to others,So its all qualify and no race
If anyone has had similar problems and can help it would be appreciated,

I have same problem with momo-I DL'd the fix-It didnt read my wheel on PC but if you check out the "read me txt" with the DL -I think its part of the process -weird i know.i clicked "ok" and the wingman fix was working.
You may have a different prob-But this worked for me and hope that its some help to you.

Thanks for the replies --I tried the wheel again -with no luck -same problems.It sounds a good idea to have a look inside it, even if I cant get it working -I love taking stuff apart anyway just to see how they work-nothing ventured nothing gained.
I am going to hold out for the G25 -but I have to put money away bit by bit ,my wife already thinks i'm nuts "Playing kids games at 40" her words not mine and when i mentioned the wheel --I got the "look"(if your married you know it)and was told that i should be commited spending 200 euro on "A toy".well its only 3 trips to the hairdresser but I'm not going down that road lol.

main problem is that it is not getting up to speed as fast as my game pad and is getting stuck in gears--the one very positive thing was the brake pedal --on the game pad its all or nothing but with the pedal the corners are way easier.
I probably didn't give it enough time in the set up as I'm fairly new to PCs in general.That would make more sense as the steering didn't take effect until 5 to and 5 past on wheel .
I will give it another go tomorrow.

As this is only my second post here i thought i might make it a helpful one.
I bought a logitech wingman formula gp wheel second hand and it sucks--big time--I reverted back to my old gamepad.
This wheel looks great and may be ok for pc games --but its sluggish on LFS.
That said it may be just the wheel "I have" as it was secondhand.
I am now going to wait until i can afford a G25-I saw the youtube video and its the dogs.

Hi to all, I was about to buy most wanted -but a friend of mine told me about LSf and I spent my money on a S2 licence instead.--BEST move I ever made.
I haven't played one single game --even my beloved bike racing ones since i joined LFS.
Most people are sound and willing to help and welcome you.
Like all sites there are a few --But I suppose that I'd get annoyed if I was at their level and every new racer getting in their way and asking what must seem to them very silly questions--so I respect that and dont get in a text slagging match with anyone--anyway at 40 I just couldn't be bothered.
Next step is a good wheel-hopefully might improve my pathetic times.
