Hell yeah! transmission coming to sydney soon, cant wait!!!
PS i am a huge fan of your ability to throw an xfg around aston north haha. I uploaded my fastest to lfsworld to compare but you constantly pull away from me on every corner :*(
OH NO flimsy metal poles and wooden planks... Its not like captain cook traveled for months to get here in something made out of flimsy wooden planks :P
I forgot to mention the scenic railway. But yeah there are many sights to see in the mountains.... So where the bloody hell are ya?
And i almost forgot to warn you about the fashion. No pretty boy hair cuts or trendy t shirts. Make sure you get a nice broad akubra with corks in it and some crocodile skin boots so you can avoid being a social outcast - if you cannot find the propper clothing at least wear sun screen because nothing makes us laugh more than a bright red pom whinging about their sunburn (seriously...)
I live in Sydney Australia and i can tell you some of the less touristy but some of the fun things to do around it!
Coming from London i am guess you like night clubs and such? Home bar in cockle bay is a very large club in sydney city whilst the three wise monkeys on George street is a popular drinking hole with live music for the more homely pub feel!
Now being on the LFS forum i assume you like driving? Grab a hire car and head up to the blue mountains via the bells line of road! If you are coming during summer there is a great little spot in the mountains which will break the driving up nicely! It is called Clarence Dam or 'duck pond' to the locals in lithgow; you can see some of it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDUZRbe6yQY Just turn left (the left turn is before the bridge which is just before the big right turn into the main zig zag area) into a dirt track and follow the zig zag railway until you see the white arrows, than follow those. Once your sick of the rope swings and chute slides, you can turn left after lithgow on the great westurn highway and head to katoomba and the jenolen caves for some sight seeing fun! Should take one full day.
If you still crave more driving fun, than the old pacific highway is a must. Have lunch at the 'pie in the sky' restaraunt half way down and enjoy the hawkesbury river from a number of nice (but expensive - not that youd mind coming from england) pubs littered throughout. Be aware that the road has washed out after the big t intersection where you turn left for the F3 or right to continue along the OPH - this is a bonus to some people as nobody drives on it anymore and it has an excelent surface and is very twisty and fun.
Anyway, If you every get bored just head into a pub and ask the happiest looking person what he reckons you should do and see .
Hey mate, your right, I don't know you. Whether you like it or not you do have an attitude, everybody does. I am also a young driver, i am 19 years old. My parents have had farms since i was born and i have driven many, many cars in these low traction environments since my early teens - so don't feel that i am trying to condescend you, i am simply giving my opinion as a peer. I have many friends who are into performance cars, they are all very experienced and have spent a huge amount of time and money learning to drive properly. Yet i have still seen too many crashes to condone a young male in that sort of car. Kids in fast cars is just out right dangerous - no matter who you think you are!
To be honest, if you were really keen on performance driving, you probably would be buying a Silvia or some sort of well balanced light car. Camaro's are cruisers with straight line power, they suffer terribly in the corners let-alone on a race track. The fact that you think 0-60 times are important when buying a first car concerns me.
I stand right with ya buddy.
Your a joke of a person to even think you will be able to drive that thing. Buy an old civic or something until you stop bumping into stuff, THAN buy the car of your dreams.
Big torque + live rear axle + zero dynamic ability + useless driver = fail.
A bit blunt but it may save your live.
Just signed up to www.australiasianleague.com, so i will be joining some races soon!
Havn't got around to the other two sites yet, next week i will check it out!
A little off topic, but how does everybody know the WR?
is there a thread somewhere with all the records and what not? I'd love to watch some of the replays, so if someone could tell me where they are i'd be grateful.
Oh and i don't believe natural talent is everything, it just reduces the amount of time it takes before you hit that time your chasing.
