First off, first post in probably a year, been waaayyy too long. I want to apologize in advance for any stupidity for I am out of the loop horribly and I am probably asking questions that have been answered already on the forum, I searched but didnt find anything.
Now, I put down my G25 a good while ago because it was acting very funny; smelling bad, making noise, grinding gears, the lot. I just got an Xbox and GT5 for my playstation, along with internet, so you can imagine I am on a gaming rampage once again. Long story short I tried to start up LFS off the Logitech thingy and it wont recognize the wheel. I can start up LFS directly and use the pedals and shifter just fine, but I cant do anything with the wheel.
I done some research sometime this month and found the thread where someone mentioned where to find the exact motors that came stock and I also found a step-by-step guide on how to tear the wheel apart.
I tore it apart and everything looks okay except for the gear mechanisms. The set that is on the steering shaft is chewed up all the way around it and the set that slides back and forth is pretty chewed up too. If I was to replace both motors would the gears become a problem? I recall the last times I used the wheel it would always slip and the force feedback would not work properly, so I would think that they would just slip if I got fresh motors in there.
Sorry for the huge post but I hate not explaining myself.
Thanks in advance
EDIT: I will try to post pics but I doubt they will be high enough quality to help.
You are very brave my friend. If I was to post a Nascar skin, much less a Jeff Gordon one, there would be a whole page of burning bananas.
Great skin btw
I have recently decided I need to make some of my own skins instead of using ones others have made. I decided to do a UFR skin for the simple reason of the car is just downright sexy.
So I get this crazy notion to do a Nascar-style skin (don't flame with the left turn attack) and it started off pretty well. Then I decided I would try a flame job, but I can't get it to line up from the hood to the fenders and I think the skin will look really good if done right.
So if anybody thinks they can do it they can let er rip and work some magic http://www.catsupbottlefestiva ... 003festpix/car.flames.jpg
I want the flames to completely cover the front like in the picture but I don't want it to come out of the side like it does in the picture. I think the best color for the flames would be solid white but it's all up to whoever takes this on.
My name is over the door but I think that can be easily removed, so if you want to use it and start something completely different that's fine, i'm all for it.
Sorry for the huge post but I don't want to forget something and start a spam-filled and flaming thread because I didn't describe what I wanted completely
Good Luck!
+1 from me
I think it would be a good idea only if we had dedicated pit stalls, but the complication with that would be that short 5-10 lap servers would have to redesignate stalls for every race
AHA I just got an idea (a somewhat scary thought )
It could be like an option like car reset and mandatory pit stops are. That way if you had like a league or something to that nature where it's the same racers they could have a designated spot for them and if it was a casual for-fun race they can be first come first serve
I use the gated shifter on all of the cars that have the H-pattern gearboxes. If you practice on your timing you can be just as fast as somebody who uses the sequential shifter. Especially before turns as you can downshift two gears instead of one
It is nothing in-game.
It is done in a render which has NOTHING to do with gameplay
BTW quit posting in multiple threads, this is the second time I've answered you
