I found that the suspension was quite good, the only thing that cannot be editted are the wheels, unfortunately. there width, distance and tyre pressure i cannot find.

I really like the new Opel/Vauxhall Insignia, so I decided to try and make a realistic setup for LFS.

Offcourse, I used the most powerfull of all the types and sorts; the 2.8Turbo 4x4 with 260bhp @ 5500 Rpm, and 350Nm @ 1900 Rpm (you can allready skip the last part).

What you need:
LFS Incl. Patch Z
LFS_Tweak for patch Z (found here: www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=50010)
The setup; found in attached files. Tweak File; I couldn't put it in attached files, so you have to take over from the screenshot
Optional; this very simple light metallic skin, found in attached files.

Realistic or not?
Specs say about a 2800cc turbo, 4wd and 260(258)BHP.
0 - 100 in around 7 - 8 secs, so thats very realisic.
3rd gear does 140KPH (From personal experience, thats quite assumable).
The 6speed gearbox.

BUT, the car doesn't have 250Nm at 1900 RPM, but at 4072 RPM - still I think torque is realistc, drive 80 in 3rd gear and you'll be at 120 within no time at all.
Weight is 100 kilo off.
Offcourse, the shape and rims are not realistic HeHe XD.
Stats:
Normal Hard Track setup does 14:56 on the 1/4 mile, Insignia Setup does it in 13:36- incase you wondered where the 30BHP extra gone

I hope you enjoy it, I've experience this rather FAST saloon in RL and I think that's helped alot.

Post comments about improvements please.


NOTE:Change Mass Position around 65% to the front, otherwise you have a very unsable rear might you wana drive fast!
Also Brake Power can be reducted with 40 - 60 Nm, Brake Balance should be between 62 and 65.

I think it would be nice to have this very long, 8 lane wide ''track'' so u can try (I.E.) to get a lx6 to drive 260kmh or the uf1000 go 175kmh.

Yesterday i found out that my throttle pedal would only go for like 85%(ingame, i almost pressed it through the floor XD), its been like this for a while now - god i cannot wait to drive with full throttle, that must be so much fater - but my question is: Is there some option which i can select so that when i press throttle instead of 85%, ingame it will calculate as 100%

i do not have the throttl/brake centre reduction on
i still havbe to try and recalibrate my axes

any suggestions?

i think i got the reason - and god bless me that i could drive 1:11s on blackwood!! - mygaspedal is broken, so i wasnt going full throttle... :s

Well, im not new, im just not a huge fan of the slower F1 cars,

but i wanted to complete all the training objectives, so that meant reaching 190kmh on the blackwood straight. i know its easy but you have to start after the chicane and the finish is like 50 meters after the bridge. try reaching 190 then. Also it has to be done with default setup and i cannot skip it. anyone got a tips?

i take over a guy that had intentions to race seriously, (me too, but i didnt quite have the setup for this, though i beat him )

i find it prety impressive the way he is taken over and i hope you guys enjoy this as much as i liked it. i can send the replay so u can watch it over in GQ (good quality) and have sound with it - the FRAPS sound was kinda cracked up.

i did 1:13s on blackwood, when all the corners and braking gone well, i hope that says something about the setup (242km/h on straight)

oh and its not sort of a lucky shot, its jsut that i also took over the same sort of car while i (slightly) slided through the corner

i m not sure what patch i use, i downloaded it from ingame popup

I've got a problem, which i am sure is a problem from the game;

the game automatically keeps shifting down, making it unable for me to shift up. So basically my whole game is wrecked.

I know it's an ingame problem because no matter what button i set for shift down, it makes no difference.

Nor does it make a difference if I choose the automatic gearbox

I keep losing connection after about 3 - 4 minutes after I joined a server.

my firewall is not blocking

When I play I'm using ventrilio; and as soon as you lsoe internet connection, it leaves the server and it doesn't here.

none of the similar thread were related to my problem;

i have just bought LFS S1, I wana try these cars before I buy S2 as well; pitty that I can't find any servers;

I downloaded alpha version, so i only needed a license - after i bought it i couldnt find servers :s (yes, i did find demo servers)

what could be the problem?

- I run as command/administrator - whatever
- Not firewall
- I did play multiplayer DEMO servers
- tryed all options
- re-downloaded patch Y
