And all of a sudden, his website changed too. Amazing, isn't it?

Mister Dennis Lind, North European Zone Formula Ford Champion, ladies and gentlemen www.dennislind.dk

Maybe that explains why this kid walked into the pits this Wednesday, took on his helmet and drove the FZR to the front row of the grid?

Happy birthday TDRT!

I have enjoyed a few races against but also as a part of TDRT, and no word fits better for this team than "excellent"!

Once again, congratulations - I am looking forward to our future races

During a holiday in the belgian Ardennes, I lived in Bellevaux. A small village outside Malmedy (~20 km from Spa Francorchamps!), but with it's own brewery.

The Bellevaux Black is a fantastic black beer, tastes a bit like Guiness just without the creamy feeling when drinking it.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to purchase it outside the Malmedy region (as far as I know - if it is, TELL ME!), but if you are in the area, do yourself the favour and visit Brasserie Bellevaux!

Another one bites the dust... Being a star isn't easy, me thinks.

A shame, I really enjoyed his acting in The Patriot, he was a very genuine and talented actor - compared to a lot of the other Hollywood actors.

Rest in peace...

Well, I know some danish racedrivers... Actually, I send them bills once in a while ( Being a freelance press officer for several danish teams )

Some of them:

Henrik Lundgaard ( Privateer World Rally Champion 2000, Danish Touring Car Championship top-runner )
Kurt Thiim ( 1986 DTM-champion, has raced Le Mans, DTM, Nordschleife etc )
Nicki Thiim ( Kurt's son - one of the young talents. Took 2nd place in his first DTC-race after Le Mans-winner John Nielsen )

Can't claim that I know them, but I've talked to Jan Magnussen ( Stewart F1, Le Mans, ALMS, etc ), Jason Watt, Tom Kristensen, and a whole lot more...

The danish Prince Joachim almost rammed me with a BMW 2002 last summer, when he participated in the Copenhagen Classic Grand Prix in the streets of Copenhagen. The throttle got stucked, so he took a concrete barrier with approx. 80 km/h. I was right behind that barrier, kinda close from getting half a wreck thrown in my face - maybe that's why you have to sign a paper that says something about "The track has no responsability of my health - if I get hurt, I should have stayed at home"
Anyways, we had a small chit-chat when he got out. He was a bit annoyed that he had just destroyed another mans car.

I actually did an interview with Nicolas Larini from the Chevrolet WTCC-team last spring, when he came to Denmark to help out setting up the danish Chevrolets. Interesting person - he should just learn some better english

Oh well. I want to be famous too. No, wait. Nah.

English version

As many already know, LFS-Forum.dk is temporarily down. Nobody knows when it will be up again, so Onlineracing.dk has offered their forum until the LFS-Forum.dk is online again.

It would be sad to see the danish community to fade away, so hurry up - sign up at Onlineracing.dk and continue the discussion!

Hmm... Well, I don't know what you guys hear outside Denmark, but it's known to be better than STCC and BTCC to watch - and the racing is definately tough.

I'm going to see if I can make a clip or two from the last race.. Really great racing!

Edit: BTW: The FIA has stated that the DTC is the best national touring car championship in Europe at the moment

And why isn't the best touringcar championship out there mentioned? Danish Touringcar Championship is the best out there, with drivers like Jan Magnussen, Henrik Lundgaard and John Nielsen.

Michel Nykjær recently won the championship - two weeks later, he won the European Touringcar Cup in Adria, Italy - in front of Tomas Engström, Emmet O'Brien and other great drivers.

I think Mr. Nilsson should do some better research

Hi all,

I appreciate all the PM's I've received since I did this post. Some very good offers were among the posts, but as it's fairly impossible to race for seven teams in one race, I had to choose.

I'll do my first race tonight - for The Danish Racing Team. R.Kolz contacted me shortly after this thread was posted, and we've had some conversations about it. I am confident that The Danish Racing Team can provide me some good racing in the amount that I need.

First off, I'll drive one of the TDRT cars in the IGTC race tonight. What will happen later on is still an open issue, but it will certainly be with TDRT.

Thanks for all the offers and kind words. I'll see you out there!

Regards,

Hi, I'm Kim Gripping. Some of you might remember me from Spider-Web Racing. Because of my real life job in real motorsports, I've had no time for racing during the summer, but it looks like I'm going to have some spare time again soon.

I was the owner and manager of Spider-Web Racing ( SWR ). SWR was almost nothing the first long time, but after making good results during the qualification round for the danish championships, we decided to race outside Denmark too.

In the end, we took part in the IGTC, where I drove 2 or 3 races with only one co-driver - and I raced 3 hours by myself. The best result was a 4th position on Blackwood - though the setup was MUCH slower than the others.

So - what do I want now?
- Simple. I haven't got the time for handling a lot of drivers, leagues etc., so I am hoping to find a good team out there. I'm very consistant, I know some things about setups, and I am a very fair competitor. ( Only one complaint ever filed against me - which by the way was overruled )

I would love to compete in some 3-4-6 hour races again. I feel that I'm a good endurance driver, and the whole pit-strategy-thing is what I love. Of course, if you would like me to join a league, I'd do that

Please PM me, I'm sure we can work something out! - and you drifting/cruising junkies out there: don't bother

Spider-Web Racing will not take part in IGTC races any more.

The team is closed, and most of the drivers are now either drifting ( jeez! ) or racing another racesim...

Thank you for the good times, they will be remembered for a long time!

A HANS device is surely a lifesaver. You saw it at Hockenheim a few weeks ago when Tom Kristensen was t-boned by Premat in the DTM race. At impact, he was hit with 20 G - pretty damned much! It's only because of HANS, he did not suffer anything but a massive headache.

I work with a lot of danish racedrivers, and most of them use HANS. (In the Danish Touringcar Championship, it's illegal to race without ) None of them feel uncomfortable wearing it. You have to get used to the fact that you can't move your head so much, but it's not a problem after a while.

If I was to do some racing, I would certainly spend the money on HANS. Maybe you won't ever need it - that would be great - but if you get involved in an accident, you will appreciate it afterwards.

Enjoy your racing - I'd wish it was me
