Scawen, on the UDP not reaching the host, there has been in my experience a nice improvement here. I was able to play without a VPN today and the patch switched me to TCP in the connection list when my UDP failed. Very happy with this as I did not want a VPN just for LFS. Thank you!

Quote from Aleksandr_124rus :snipped for the sake of everyone and their eyes.

A big change has been 1000hz. That is higher than current, I think a significant amount but I do not remember nor care to dig deep to answer this more in depth.

There was graphical updates as well that were factored into the 1000hz rate. If I am wrong on any part someone can correct me, but these were 2 big parts of whats being updated aside from separately more tyre physics on top of the 1000hz

Quote from UnknownMaster21 :Yes. Go to real life Blackwood and see what kind of real world telemetry you could get from your XRT.

Pointless... Later --->

The tyre simulation is based on real world data, as is the other simulations inside LFS. You can make a simulator with real data and have fictional locations and venues made with the real world data.

Sorry to have broken your brain with intellect. The internet has made that easy to do these days, everyone thinks they are the expert.

Quote from UnknownMaster21 :So bad argument that I had to actually post. It's like not adding any new track environment content because racing with XR GT Turbo car on that area doesn't exist in real life.

Sim this, sim that... sim everything...

...can't do this or add this because does not exist in real life... can't add myself into game because I am not simulated in real life.

It's not a future simulator, it's a racing simulator using real world data from right now, not what theoretically could exist at some point in time and space.

It's called a patch or an update. LFS can be updated when stronger motors exist in real world. Wink

Quote from NumberTwo :You would be right with Porsche, even though it is only in qualy mode, so that would probably mean just short bursts.

Rimac nevera, currently strongest production car, has cca 350 kw x 4 motors.

Considering this is racing sim and it should be future proof, i guess I'm going to contradict my first post and agree with OP that stronger electric engines should be allowed in LFS.

Quote from detail :Checked Renault Logan inside and outside angles.
The protractor is again slightly misaligned, opposite of the initial measurement, now it reduces the angle, and I got around ~36° inside (I saw 40° the previous time) and ~30° on the outside.

Inside (left front)

Outside (right front)

This is not accurate at all. The best way to try and use this method would be car jacked up and wheel off TBH. Doing this is an at best guess and hardly accurate.

There is no rule against posting in an old thread last time I checked. If you don't like that he bumped something old, move on and don't post?

Quote from THE WIZARD DK :@UniValvePlums why do you keep bumping threads more than 10 years old ?

dont you look at the date in the last posts? if not. please do so.

Maybe take it easy on him, probably just trying to get involved with the forums and community. No need to be so serious, especially over something as petty as the date on when something was posted. Who cares if it was 10 minutes ago or 10 years ago, it's a new person just trying to fit in here.

"You can make them look like a car, but cannot name them that car.

A good example of this is the Burnout, and GTA series.

Brands do not want games to crash model their cars. It looks bad. Look at the mess some of the cars end up in during a GTA session !

GTA gets around this by bending the brand a little. Audi becomes Obey."

Makes a great point.

The infringement comes in my opinion when the model is copied from another game and not the use of the model itself.

Quote from 5tag :Quick feedback on night time lighting:

Head lights as well as tail lights appear way too bright. This might also be due to excessive bloom and the fact that all those lamps emit light omni-directionally (which in reality is of course not the case, especially not for head lights!).

Another issue is light temperature. Since LFS' cars generally belong to the late 80s to early 2000s, pretty much all of them would use traditional light bulbs. The only car I would imagine having xenon headlights is the FZ 50 (and of course the VW Scirocco, once the time comes).

Finally, the night sky over a city is usually not that dark, since clouds get illuminated by the vast amount of street lamps and other light sources. Of course the odd atmosphere is also because none of the buildings/windows are lit.

you are severely overthinking everything. cars can have upgraded lights for temp and brightness regardless of year. Also the night sky, Go to a more rural area, even with light pollution you get very dark skys on the right night. Over thinkin it, but good thoughts.
