Remember that not all of us are experienced. I think halfway through a 45min race my arms are going to fall off!

I vote for a short practice round, a 10min qualifying round and then a race or two. But I LOOOONG race is not going to very fun is your arms are in pain.

If we can have 2 races with 1 large group, why don't we have the following:

Short Practice
Qualify
Race 1 with qualifying positions
Race 2 with revers order from the standing in race 1

I have only tried karting once in my life. It was an indoor kart circuit and while we had a great time and the karts themselves were good, I left there with a bad impression:

- My clothes STANK of fuel and exhaust!
- many of my friends didn't feel good because of all the fumes they breathed in the 2 races we raced.

So after this one experience I am in favor of an outdoor track. I would rather be rained upon than stink of fuel fumes and breath exhaust again.

I was wondering: What incentives can we come up with to get the devs to show up? (free beer?! )

I spoke to a Dutch friend of mine yesterday who went to Berghem on a company field tripe (team building). He only had good things to say about the Berghem kart track.

I think we are all reasonable people. If you have a good reason to object to a certain track, then lay out the reasons in an easy to understand way so that we may understand and discuss and eventually agree/disagree.

From what I understood, the idea of this meet is for socialising and fun. Lets not have 1 person spoil that.

The "too many clicks" system is hardly a critical problem.

Only ONCE in my LFS "career" have I received that message. If you are getting it regularly, then maybe you should adjust your clicking behavior.

I can't recommend this enough! You can buy a can of compressed air for very little money. Its important that you check your computer for dust AT LEAST once a year. If you computer is standing on the floor, dust will build up much quicker than if its standing on your desk.

The fans in your computer can be damaged by dust. Luckily fans are inexpensive to replace. Clean out your computer case and find out which fans need replacing. Also note that you can buy quieter fans to replace the ones you are using now.

I think it is really a shame that most servers don't use reverse start order. It gives the slower racers a chance and gives the "aliens" more of a challenge to win.

If reverse start order was used more often, it would show which racers are good in traffic and passing and overall "good racers".
