LFS came from its first version released back in 2002, and, during its long road, even if modern games have features that LFS doesn't have, you, Eric, and Victor have something that other games doesn't have.
It feels amazing, has tools for modding, and, the most important thing, it'll work on any computer from the mid 2000s until now.
During this hard work, it's so rewarding to have a huge fan of this game. You just deserve it.
I know this new version won't be the new graphics and physics that all we're waiting for. However, I encourage you to keep working on the new physics (and Eric for his new and revamped content!) to finally test this big update that'll come in the future.
That's hopefully next year, we still don't know when. When 0.7E releases, he'll likely finish tire physics, do a bit of testing and then they will launch a new round of test patches. Still don't know when, though.
0.7E (or whatever it'll be called) will have lots of new features, such as AI support for bikes, improved AI, very improved support for mods...
Unfortunately, 0.7E won't contain the new graphics or physics that all we are waiting for.
However, it is a rather big update even without the major graphics and physics overhaul that will be (hopefully) coming next year.
As versiu said, check the test patch forum for more information.
Although I love GTR cars, I met one user at some cruise server. I played a lot Gran Turismo - and there were many fantasy cars that I'd want to recreate.
This is my inspiration to the Red Bull X2014 Junior.
Lots of aero, lots of grip, but low power output, still will be fun to drive.
I present you - the X14 Cadet!
Powered by a 2L NA I4 - still makes plenty of power, targeting beginners to the most talented sim racers.
My goal is to make a concept that gets acceptable straight line speed (around 230kph) with insane cornering speeds, yet still easy enough to be beginner-friendly.
I'll focus to this project as much as I can - cars like the X2014 are really hard to design.
Wish me good luck with this project. I think it would be awesome to bring this type of car into LFS.
EDIT: February 11 Got a brand new model from Tschäpetin (Kanker_aap), I thank you for his amazing work!

Well, it has been a long way since my first try at LFS editor and that GTR attempt got sadly been lost.
So, I decided to make a new thread for my WIP mods (mostly GTR) for this 2023.
During this year, I won't be using Blender - I want to learn pure LFS Editor modeller.
Current WIP:
#1: V32-A GTR - AWD GTR racer based on dornardo's GT-V32 SC (which allows derivatives).

Even that I have my S3 licence back in late August 2020, I never raced online in LFS. So I can consider myself as a new player.
I'm a car fan since my childhood. I played a huge variety of racing games, like GT4, World Racing 2, rFactor, F1 Challenge 99/02, and many, many others. With controller on the PS2 and keyboard on PC.
In 2016, I recieved a T150, so it was my actual beginning at serious racing. Since 2018, I have a G29. I don't need anything stronger, I'm happy with the G29.
Also, with the new patch of LFS, sure I'll keep playing LFS for a long time. That's why it's my favourite racing game! Low PC requirements, pretty good physics, and more!
I'm doing my first rework. Unfortunately, topology looks still pretty bad to me. At the moment, there are about 8k tris outside. My main goal is to keep the model about ~16-18k tris (cockpit and exterior).
I'll give you updates after four days since my last entry. The reason is to stay focused while I'm learning and perfecting my modeling skills.
This is my first car mod for LFS that I planned before the Vehicle Mod Support public testing patch came out yesterday.
Note
At the moment the Holsborg GTR surely needs one or more reworks before it's considered high quality. Even that I'm using Blender for three years, I'm not that experienced, and my knowledge of the LFS tools is very limited.
However, this car is so special for me. I've always wanted to make a XRR/FZR rival from scratch. For me it's a challenge!
At this moment, the car only will have a high-revving, flat-plane V8.
Subscribe to this thread if you want to stay tuned to this car.
Thank you for your attention!
