Can't stress this enough - get your own account and not a used one (if you haven't already), it will save you a lot of bother and grief from the previous owner in terms of bans and general reputation, not that we are all bad
As for payment, follow various pieces of advice given. I'd say PayPal is ideal, as for age restrictions...Im sure your mum is old enough to register one.
After showing her this forum and thread, and that privacy statement, she still doesn't feel it safe enough, perhaps update her on the workings of the internet and virus software, etc, etc.
I've had a brief search prior to posting but couldn't find anything on the subject, so aplogies if this has been covered or if I have missed anything.
Basically, as the title suggest...
..an application dedicated to viewing .mpr's, without the other unrelated game features. Ideal for viewing replays on PCs/laptops without having the need to install the full LFS application.
I work as an Emergency Medical Technician (Emergency Ambulance Staff); I work on Emergency Ambulances and a Rapid Response Car. My role sees me responding to calls ranging from a simple broken bone, to a fully involved cardiac arrest...and everything in-between!
I also work as a volunteer Community Responder, going to critical calls within a local set area, simply to beat full-time crews on route and offer immediate life saving care before they do.
At times it can be stressful and tedious, however most of the time is a total joy and very enjoyable. I love my job and wouldn't change it for the world.
It would be nice to see if there are any other LFS'ers involved in similar work here.
This is about opening .mpr's outside of the LFS/Data/mpr folder. Before I updated my LFS (if I'm not mistaken) I was able to click an .mpr file (say in my download folder) and it would open itself in my LFS.
Now it attempts to open the replay but I simply get "Could not open file: data/mpr/[name].mpr". LFS is on the startup screen and I open the file as per normal (as I used to before).
I don't mind moving it into my .mpr folder but I'd like to know why it wouldn't be working.
Regards,
Josh.

Reason : Grammar in title
Initially the idea comes across as tacky and looks as flammable as nylon bedding - considering it is a racing simulator at heart and you're suggesting an emergency warning system.
However pärtan seems to talk some sense and put it into a good context. Obviously being part of a cruise team, I'd have to say yes.
Not at this stage, although I will get some stickers for the car, I have ordered a visor sign, and I am allowed to use Amber lights when on scene (although not necessary). As I progress into the ambulance service I will be trained to drive with lights and tones.
I am 18 and I have just been invited to join my local community response team in Essex. For anyone who doesn't know what this entails, Community responders are basically volunteer paramedics (although not as highly trained) who attend 'category A'/life threatening calls in their local area to assist the ambulance services by arriving on scene first and giving crucial life-saving first aid.
This is particularly useful to me as I am aiming to become a fully qualified paramedic.
I wanted to know if anyone on here (preferably UK based) is a community responder, and what your experiences have been like, and if you have any words of advice. I have no real worries but it is always nice to speak to someone with greater experience, especially as I am at the stage where I have no experience. (other than helping people where I have been in the right place/right time)
A bit of a sad story, Darcy, Essex's first and only Search and Rescue dog has been locked up in quarantine after helping with rescue efforts in Sumatra.
Darcy, Essex County Fire and Rescue Service’s search and rescue dog, will have to spend six months in quarantine after going to Indonesia to carry out life saving search and rescue work. We believe that rescue dogs should be exempt from the quarantine laws. Six months imprisonment does not seem like a fitting reward for a dog which has worked abroad to try and save lives.
It would be nice if you could show your support by signing the 10 Downing Street petition to change the laws regarding search and rescue animals.
I don't really involve myself with this forum that much, let-alone post here. Nor am i a racing kind of a guy, i prefer the cruise servers to the racing servers as that is the type of environment i prefer. i tried racing and it just wasn't for me.
Anyway, you should feel lucky about the content that LFS offers you. You probably get double the content for your £24 than you get in games that cost twice as much. And that is in terms of free content from the devs in terms of patches compared to console games etc as i am not a user of any other racing sims/online sims. You have to remember that LFS is developed by 3 people (in what i can imagine is their spare time?) so expecting them to release large amounts of new content on a regular basis is a little optimistic imo.
Take the VWS for example, Yes i was disappointed when the VWS was late but i got over it and carried on playing and generally getting on with things rather than whining on about it. It would be nice if everyone else could do the same, and as has been said, if you really are this unhappy with the game, don't play it, take a break.
I'm not fantastic at long structured posts, or advice for that matter, so i'll stop here
