bah nevermind, I got it. I was shifting into gear ok. but for some reason before everything clicked in i had to clutch. The first time I did that it worked, and it's working great now.
So I decided to use my MOMO wheel while I'm waiting for my g25 to get here.
I go in, set all the 'items' up for the wheel in the settings, but the car won't move.
Accelerate works. it revs the engine, brake seems to work, letf/right works and the shifter changes gears but I can't get it to move. I just sit there revving the engine.
I got Race Driver 3 when it came out. Currently I have two homes. one back east and one in Phoenix. I bought the momo back east. Last november I came out to phoenix for a year or two and didn't bring the wheel. I started getting the itch for a wheel again, and went ahead and got the g25. I ordered it 3 weeks ago.... after 2 weeks i got impatient so I went and bought another MOMO while I waited (which made me mat because they had the g25 in stock but I already paid for it so I couldn't just buy it). I've got the momo now.... ANd it broke yesterday lol.
So what I'm probably going to do is go back to Frys, replace it with a new one, use it until the g25 gets here then return the momo.
I might end up using the g25 shifter anyway. if I go back to RD3 at all I'd need it. i've gotten every scrap of speed out of the existing set up. the ONLY way I could shave any time off would be to have a shifter. I raced bombers and stocks when I was younger in real life so if the g25 is realistic it would be very easy to pick up. When i was young I worked as a mechanic for my unlce who raced funny cars for Ford in the 80s
With the momo and sequencial shifting it was pointless to use. Well at least for me because it was not realistic at all. Especially with no clutch.
Just curious here. I'm new to this site, I actually found out about this game by watching a demonstration on the G25 on youtube. I've been searching for a better racing game. I've been playing Race Driver 3 and i've completed it. other than going back and racing all the tracks i dind't play there's no use to play it anymore.
I've been using a Logitech MOMO wheel for about a year now. But recently I ordered a G25 from Logitech. ACtually I ordered it on August 7 and it still hasn't shipped yet. In speaking to support they just got them in again last week, are now shipping the warranty replacements and new sales will be shipped next week.
The question I have, is I won't use the h pattern, just sequential. But am I going to see a big difference in the wheel and force feedback?
