Hi

Recently upgraded to a new PC and 8800 gts card - problem is I don't know where all the settings are to get LFS looking the best with this card.

I'm pretty sure I have everything turned to full in LFS options - but it's still not that good. ie. I still have 'squarish' rims on other cars on the grid. I feel it should look a lot better in general 2.

Can anyone advise what I need to do both in LFS options and the 8800 options to get the best looking LFS...

Cheers

This seems to be a recent thing for me as well - dodgy shake, it's hard to control the car! from what I have experienced, the more cars around me in online play the worse it gets.

Why is this happening just in the last few weeks tho??

Anyone? this really sux...

Oh it's a DFP that I have issue with

Still no luck

Not opened for wd40 mission again - looked like a sealed unit last time

Looks like when I hit full lock on a right turn it 'sticks' on the way back to centre. bloody anoying!

also tried no FF but still the same - does it on another PC I tested it on. DOH.

Can you get these things fixed or what?

Quote from thisnameistaken :He did. They showed the replay from a few different angles, and from trackside - on the outside of the exit of T1 - you could clearly see Kimi slow down quite quickly. .

Yep 100% Kimi's fault. Why he slowed so much mid corner is weird - he had no one in front of him. how else would nick fly around the ouside of all 3 of them! (then being flipped)

Just watch the video!

I'll try the ff down to 0 tonight...

looks like the pot is a sealed unit (looks like an elec motor?)

Anyway it's seems to be racing ok at the moment - still sticks on calibration tho.

Found a calibration tool too:

Thanks For the feedback - I'll get back with the results...

Nah, that didn't work. Pulled it apart - it's all belt driven. nothing here to clean or lube. Doh! looks like it's on it's way out...

Got any ideas on other things I can try?

Timing is right!

I'm out of the PC loop for several years, I need to upgrade. Whats a good AMD rig under 1k look like for LFS.

Currently running a amd athlon1200 running at 1400
512 RAM
Ausustek A7A266
Nvidia Geforce4 Ti 4200

Presume i'll need:

New mainboard
New Processor
New graphics card

thrustmaster f1 force feedback -right turn issue

Hi

Been flogging my thrustmaster f1 force feedback for approx 18 months now. For the past several days it seems to lag or lock for a few seconds on tight right turns - usually putting me straight in the wall! It doesn't happen all the time, though tight right handers seem to be the issue.

Can this wheel be cleaned / fixed to solve the issue? Anyone give me a few tips on pulling it apart? I'm thinking it's just worn or dirty.

danbmx_69 I have recently encountered the same problem...

run a few laps then everyone else lags, track map stops. The only change I have made is to my adsl modem / router setup(Netcomm NB3) is set the IP filter > Security level from low to none(to port forward kia online gaming for xbox)

I have just changed back and rebooted modem. LFS seems to be working again. I'll do a race or 2 and see how it goes.
