Quote from bmwracer :Does anyone have a map of the entire Westhill facility? It would be useful for me so I can play out rally stages/hill climbs/street race routes.

Is this any good? Attached.

Definitely go for the T300RS, walks all over a G27, I run a T500RS myself and it is great, fast, wheel feels great, it's quiet and the force is way way more accurate and sharp.

Just got my DK2, first thing I tried was LFS due to hearing such good things about it's Oculus Rift support and they were right!

It's a crazy experience, really feels like I'm in the car and my arms are what is shown (low poly arms yo).. Look forward to playing online but I'm definitely slower in VR!
A New 'Street Legal Type' Game
lukelfs

Those of you who have played Street Legal or Street Legal Redline Racing will love this, a new crowd funded game, made by Invictus games (the original creators and who also made Insane, Cross Racing Championship and more).

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/473961744/street-tuning-evolution

Whoever hasn't seen or played it, it was released in July 2003 and to this day is still being modded. You can build your car up from parts, engine, running gear and body work - there is no other game like it out there, and this new version could be every petrol heads dream game..

Check out the video on the Kickstarter page and it would be awesome for people to back it!!

If you can't back it if you could click the ^ button on this link,

Thanks!

I'm trying to make a server for me and my brother to play on, I have followed a guide and we can both see the server. The problem I'm having is that I cannot select a car for entry, I have used the configuration to add the mod I want to use and copied the files over to content if I had to.

I see no entry list, where it says select a car for entry it is blank, if I add some cars it fills up the slots and I cant enter the server,

Please could anyone help out.

Quote from Mysho :I take it as you count on physics aspect, then Spintires is the only solution. It's like RBR in terms of rally games. Speaking of that, I pray for someone who will do a rally simulation with all that it gets.

Maybe this?

Quote from DJMancho :Hi Guys,
I am just wondering, I am not planning to over clock my PC and I have a h80i CPU cooloer and phenem CPU. Would the Thermal tape do any good since it is cheaper and a lot of it.

Cheers

I wouldn't use that stuff on a CPU, the H80i should come with some pre-applied, if not grab some and just apply a pea size - you'll only need to do this once so pointless having more of it?

Also wrong section

Quote from Bose321 :Not yet, but they have made great steps with the UI. The UI is a little like AC where you can install new UI modules and move them around the screen. I guess an option for the controllers wouldn't be a big step from here.

It's funny actually, because with regular driving I don't really feel that the wheels are polygonal. Sure, I only use the Xbox controller, but it's not that bad. Sometimes the cars tend to wobble around corners for no reason though.

The cars just wobble all over the place and skip around, they are awful.. best thing to do is to just crash into a wall

Quote from Jakg :Brakes on newer cars tend to be very "sharp" (rightly or wrongly).

The clutch is so heavy in my car that if I drive something else for more than half an hour and then get back in it my leg hurts trying to use it for the first few miles.

Yup! I drive a lot of hire cars for work and they are all new cars, after driving them for a week I get back into my own car and the pedals feel so strange, almost end up stalling because I forget how stiff/heavy the pedals are

Almost all new cars have extremely light clutches and throttle pedals, I wouldn't just pull away with the clutch and then use the throttle (you're likely to stall on slight inclines and if you try to pull away fast you will too).

You may get away with it whilst learning but it's a bad habit and in a realistic first car (e.g. something old) you probably won't be able to do it. The clutch is way stiffer/heavier in a older car too.

1: At what point do you think a sim (or semi-sim) racing game is attractive to you?

Realistic feeling of the cars handling, e.g. LFS vs Need for Speed
Multiplayer
Real Cars
Real Tracks
Setups

2: Why would you keep playing a game even if you’ve unlocked all the cars and levels?

Tuning
Multiplayer
Hotlap Mode

3: If you are slow and you can’t beat the fast guy, what makes you to enjoy the racing with fast guy as you are always lose, is that the pursuit of “victory”?

Practicing to beat the fast guy

4: What do you want to have in the kickstarter as the return? Except for in-game content? What else u wish have?

Not sure

5: Will you guys enjoy getting your own designed cars or skins, and level design included in the game?

Yes!

This looks really cool for a mobile game, would happily test it on my Android device.

Quote from Fordman :I have just played around with that Honda Civic posted above and although, not perfect, it is actually really enjoyable.

Here is the link: http://www.mediafire.com/downl ... 2/honda_civic_gra_v07.rar

Now what I have found, is it had WAY to much grip for a FWD, so played around with the tyres.ini and actually copied the Ford Escort tyres.ini file ( so you had the Slick options ) and for me...it a good fun, FWD racing car to drive.

Obviously get the Honda from above, and I have attached the tyres.ini file and put in the Data file..See what you guys think

Fordie

PS - Non of this is my work, so total respect to the creators

Will give it a try, I found the Escort to be undriveable, just a huge lack of grip and the force feedback felt so strange?

Quote from choupolo :The replays are helpful. And it's good to know what kind of times are possible with a default setup. I'll aim for 42s but I don't think I'll get there to be honest!

Positive thinking though! It's worth a few more goes even just for the challenge of fastest lap.

You can go flat through the chicane although it's bumpy - on that motion sim it may throw you off, turn in as soon as you've entered it
