Changed team manager because I will be too busy with school and work for most of the season to keep up with team manager duties. (I might have to withdraw, not sure yet.)

heh, the aliens weren't as scary as I thought.... mostly b/c they were either 1/2 a lap ahead or 1/2 a lap behind for most of the race...

oh, I did find your 2 stop strategy quite interesting, Seb.

Quote from PMD9409 :I see 30 cars going into the chicane (all bunched up) as a REALLY bad idea.

I realize that, but T1 isn't exactly a mile wide either (though it is wider & slower)... but drivers could have more than 1/2 the back straight to sort themselves out for the chicane. But, unless we have the lead car go even slower, I don't know how to get a clean, well formed start out of BL1. And if the lead car went much slower than pit speed, we might as well do a standing start.

A little OT, but it would be nice if the chicane barriers could be removed and then we could cut the chicane for lap 1 & use it for the rest of the race.

I read through all of this and never saw anyone suggest this, but would it be better to start the next (season's) Blackwood race from the back straight? That straight is more than long enough to get the entire field formed up before the leader is even half-way down it. It's not unheard of for a rolling start to happen somewhere other than the S/F line.

Great fun, but the in-player popup ads are really annoying.

BTW, the WTF pitstops were legal thanks to the pitboxes being past S/F. +1 for strategery.

The best thing about MNRCC is that I don't have to feel guilty about not properly preparing for a race...

Actually, I'm surprised that registration isn't filled. I mean, in what other series can you drive a UF1 at Aston Cadet or Club one week, have an RB4 rally the next, and play Mario Cart in MRTs the following week? It's a good chance for people like me (who only like to run a small number of combos) to branch out and try new cars and tracks.

ATM, I think I might be out of town that day... but is there any chance that people could be allowed to "iron butt" it? I could do a 4 hour stint.

I used to run NR2k3 full length races at ~4 hours. I was quite sore at the end, but it sure felt like an accomplishment.
