we are thirty years down the line and we have hybred cars just to achive what d vizard did in the 70's .. i did not say it was a standard production car just a production car.. if you cant accept it, it's your problem not mine

mini's are a production car, and once more David Vizard, built one totally for economy, back in the late 1970's and he was achiving 100 mpg with it. it retained it's standard "A" series engine, so was not extenslively modified, just a carefull build using chosen components ... cant make it clearer than that..

David Vizard is renouned as a mini guru has written several books on them and many other cars.. he is a free lance engineer as far as i know and is world renouned for being one of the best.
the point i was trying to make there is you cant compare a concept built trike type thing that one small person rides in, built of carbonfibre and other lavish meterials,that would probably get blown away in a gentle breeze, to a production road going car, capable of carrying passengers and practile use.. can you?
well this is not new technology really is it .. it's a mish mash of current technology put togther to help our goverments meet emmision levels they have promised each other to meet..
100 mpg is not world shattering, david vizard built a 100mpg mini back in the 70's and that was just a good engine build ... no pluging hair dryers into it
now when we get fuel cells that will be new technology!
lol.. as i said i am in the motor trade and know all about computers and ecu's on cars.. i also know how many fault codes prove untraceable even by main dealers on there own cars.. and that is on conventional ic cars, let alone hybred cars which are even more complex....
lets not forget hybred technology is brand new to the market place and theses early cars are bound to have problems and faults not thrown up in testing as do all new concepts..
so basicaly your a guinie pig, driving a prospective hair dryer
HO MY GOD....
so many gadegts and gizmos.. would not like to be you when the ecu starts throwing out fault codes.. i am in the motor trade and main dealers have enough problems fault finding normal cars with out this little pandoras box....
but on the bright side you could be really eco friendly and recycle it into a hair dryer..

listen m8 do not think for one minute i have any problem with you at all, because i dont !
you may have made mistakes, in the race and you did what any good racer should do, race on and let the organisers sort it out later..
there are in any sporting event, rules that are supposed to deal with theses things..
now with all the good will in the world, i cant see how you can be allowed to finish in front of me when you hit me twice at the start of the race, causing so much damage that i could not control the car.. in nearly every event i know of that would be a black flag offence, let alone let you go on to finish in front of me in the race that is obsered!
think about it, you got a penalty for hitting me twice but the advantage you gained over me from doing it allows you to beat me.. someone is losing the plot somewere !illepall

well to be honest, it seems you are more concearned with imposing my warning for 4 races ( new rules) than you are with the fact, that the person who you agree took me out. still manages to beat me in the race...
very sorry but your logic in fair play defeates me totally..
i will go away and consider this, before making any rash decisions
1 . the 1 min penalty to prits means he still finishes in front of me in race 1.. so even though you agree he was in the wrong he still finishes in front of me in race 1 and keeps his 2nd on the grid for race 2.. so really speaking he has still gained an advantage through his actions?? how do you see this?
2 my four week warning for having a damaged car, as soon as i realised how damaged it was i pulled off and let the field pass, what else should i have done? also when does that four week warning begin is it from the end of fe rx race, or now ??
thank you for the time and effort you have put into this, i just want to understand how you see theses incidents and apply the penaltys..

as you say you dont have access to peoples minds, and i agree..
so how can you possably inforce a rule thats states that a hit must be intentional when you just said you dont know if it is or not ??
no crashes are not nessicarly intentional, but if there was a rule that made people pay instead of benefit from crashes then they will drive more carefully..
yes i did hit pedro i have said that, and normally i would wait but the way your rules are i would be stupid to do so your rules state that if its not intentional( which it was not because i dont race like that ) you can carry on, so i made the decision to do so.. also no it was not up to me to wait, because no one has done that for me when i have been hit much harder than that, so why should i have to play by different rules than everyone else??
the olfsl rules are very vague, to be honest.. i have read them a few times and there are not many subjects that are definate no no's .. except for swearing and going backwards round the track.. even the subject of when to spectate is open to interperation as yesterday proves..
if you dont want me in the league because i am a pain in the ass, thats fair enough i can quite understand..
i dont know the rules better than you and you should know them no better than me.. the rules are there for everyone involved to know how to behave durring events.. or am i wrong??
and i have never accused you of bending the rules, if you think i have please show me were??

no not in the least, if i am to continue racing in the olfsl, i must do so by the standards you set !
it is not for me to lead a one man on track crusade, to improve the standard of racing.. i would be more than happy to see a system that penalises drivers who hit others, to an extent that loses them positions in the race, in fact i would appauld it, and would be more than happy to accept penaltys when i was wrong.. as sometime or other i am bound to be..
but i can not do that by myself and would be stupid to try !illepall
the position we have currently lost me about 5 places i think it was in the ascr race, and the guy who hit me twice finished in front of me.. do you think that is right ???
if you introduce a system were drivers pay for bad driving or driving mistakes of a bigish nature .. that is losing people places by an accident they caused, weather intentional or not, i will bet there will be a sudden rise in driving standards overnight..
you have raced in pool2 with me twice i think and i dont see you hitting people often, is that because you are so much better than everyone else?? or because as the race organiser you take a bit more care ??
it is in peoples nature and more so in a competative sport to push things to the limit and get away with everything they can to gain an advantage.. if you dont introduce rules that contain that, people will take every opportunity to expliot that...

the second point about my collision with pedro, yes i make mistakes loads of them or other wise i would be loaded, and win every race.. the thing is that its how you handle your mistakes that counts.. no i did'ent mean you should be penalised for passing pedro, just that you had no objections to using it to your advantage also..
lastly yes i must blame your system for my passing pedro after i hit him, because it is what has been done to me and it has been condoned by you and your staff.. therefore if thats the rules you are playing by, then i must do the same, and play by the same rules.. or i will simply be a fool !illepall

lololol i have told at least 10 people today it wont be long before someone brings up i hit a car yesterday.. congrats you win first prize ..
there are 2 reasons i did not stop and let pedro nunes go back past me as i usually would,
1 when me and fluid indi who were racing toghter caught him on the track he was running off the pace with hazzard flashers on..
as indie came up behind him he went wide on t1 and allowed indie to pass, then i came up behind him and spent half a lap or so waiting for the same oppertunity to be given to me..
then about a lap later he turned his hazzards off and started racing again, i thought this was a bit out of order as i could have tried harder to find a way past sooner but hey, that is but a trival matter, as we commenced racing, after the jump on the dirt i slid under braking into his rear , he was already partly sideways going into the right bend and i hit him arround a bit more,.. now it thought all this conversation we are now having in my head at that split second , as i knew i would be accused of having double standards.. but if you are enforcing the rules the way you are then i would be a fool to do anything but take my chance and pass him.. i said sorry to him at the time and appolgised again at the end of the race.. it was my fault and i hit him and at any other time i would wait for him to recover but i have lost enough places and points to your system so i must use it to my advantage to claw some back.. dont forget you benefited from this as well as you passed him and gained a place also..
just to add yes there is a differance between this and the other inceidents, this was a small hit under braking on mud, not a hit on tarmac, big enough to send me clean off the track.. if i had hit someone that hard i would wait regardless..
guess i am just a fool...
