well actually on a drag strip an auto car should be fast...most people i know that drag use automatics. they have some thing tht they press and then they will rev the engine let the turbo spool up and then they will release the button which transfers a huge amount of torque to the wheels. i forgot what its called exactly but i know its faster in drags...

Alright, I'm new to the forums and pretty new to the game. I'm just curious as to why cars don't shut-off/blow the motors when you red line the rpm for too long. I race sometimes and I've seen people blow their engines by over revving. My car does not have a rev limiter only because I like my engine.
Well back to the topic, I was just wondering if someone could make a mod/patch to make over-revving possible. I mean it is a race-sim so I was just wondering why I could sit on the pedal for 2minutes and nothing blows and no damage is done. In real life no one smart uses a limiter only because when you hit it it cuts the gas flow to your engine which causes horrible effects.

I'm sorry, your not seeming to get what people are saying. If upgrades where possible racing online wouldn't be fair at all unless everyone had the same upgrades. Now if everyone had the same upgrades would the cars be any better then they already are? Maybe faster and a bit less realistic...but that's about it. I strongly suggest if you like upgrading your car, that you go play NFS or some other arcade game.
