O.k, thanks boys, not a problem, in a way it might work out for the best as now I will have to re-skin the car I deleted. Too bad though, I really liked that skin. (doah!)

Thanks, I did see that but was not sure and clicked on the wrong tab deleting one of my skins. So, not wanting to F anymore up I thought I would ask. I am just returning to LFS after a bit of a hiatus, so I am having to re-learn some stuff.
Is it possible to recover the skin I deleted?

Not sure if this will help but, if you are running Vista, you might try turning off windows search. Personally I cant remember the last time I used Windows search and with it off you should see better frame rates as it needlessly sucks up some of your processor power.

Hi folks, I had to replace my hard drive and of course lost all my info.
I was wondering if there is a way to recover my skins that I have on LFS World? Is there a way to download them back or do I have to start from scratch? I searched the site but could not find a way to do this. I am hoping that I just missed it and one of you kind people can point me in the right direction. Any help would be great. Thanks

Hi all, It is good to be back. I have had LFS for a while but have not been on the racing scene for a while now. My hard drive crashed out and I had to re-load everything. Seems simple enough but as you know life sometimes gets busy and I did not get around to it till now.
I will be driving under the name Nos 4 U2, and am looking forward to competing with you all again soon.
When I lost all my info, I (of course), lost all my skins and sets. Is there a way to retrieve them? Any help would be great. Thanks gang and, see you on the track

I know eh I was gonna start a new thread but figured this one was close enough. I was wondering what other folks were doing for inspiration in designing their skins.
For instance, I designed my last skin with Halloween in mind.
Then I created a new driver name to go with the skin. Like naming the work.
I drive her under the name Nos4U2

No, your right on, topic. Wales is where the the Islands talent migrated to in days of yore. The trouble with the Irish is, they all secretly yearn to be Welsh!
Wow :) You guys are good!

When to much beer causes me to spectate,
I like to climb into the passenger seat and hang on!
Man, Its a pleasure to be in the car with some of you folks!
I am learning all the time, being a passenger. Hope the extra ballast doesn't slow you down

You are right of course, Oscar, it was a bit of a rant
Beer and regular traffic idiots, along with "one of those days" caused me to spout off a bit about dumb driving practices. And as I respect every driver equally, regardless of track position, I was aiming to enlighten.
But I got to tell ya, it felt kind a good to vent.

I thought I would start a topic about what racing is...! For the driver in all of us. A chanch to wax poetic about why racing makes you feel so good
Because I started this mess I'll go first...

Racing is... A source in balance

Mine doesn't actually rhyme or anything, but you get the idea

What I think happens is this, good young waves of gamers keep moving toward the new. The true drivers among them will come back to LFS.

Im not sayin bumpin aint racin, some lumps are always expected.
I'm just suggesting, respect for the other racer should be, (hang on I'm gonna use a big word here), prerequisite.
To me, there is a difference between a bump and a nudge. Its the nudge that racers need to avoid, not the bumps.
A nudge, is when you dont have position in a duel or line, and you dont respect the traffic or laws of physics.
What happens is this, newbies, its an old trick learned back in the days of Whiskey running. Police practice it. You knock the ass end of the car sideways and cause loss of traction. Its a sucky way to race
And maybe a newbie will read this, and think to ease up in the pack.

What in hell is the problem with some drivers?
Do they not realize that the driver ahead of them may have to break early, because the driver ahead of them has to break early when ever the corners get bunched?
Good God, its no wonder my insurance is so high, I mean, its simple physics, but some drivers are still trying to fit a square peg into a round hole!
They must realize that just because they are inside on a line does not give them the right to just bump the driver ahead out of the race.
Racing is a sport of gentlemen or gentle-people if you like. When you try to win the race in the first lap you should be on the pole, or darn close to it. Not starting 16th and F to everyone else cause "I gotta catch the leader fast"
Some of these drivers should learn a bit of etiquette when driving.
Lastly, I gotta say, I freakin LUV this game It is the best fun in my working man day.

If you know the exit angle of what ever corner you are drifting through, then the only limitation is owner/operator. LFS has everything you need to drift the same as the video. If you want to drift the drive, PRACTICE.
Personally I drive to avoid drift, but exiting a drift clean and hot is its own satisfaction.

I suppose that wrecking and age go hand in hand. An older driver would recognize, and avoid a crash sooner, on account of having to pay for the repairs more. I mean, when that young whipper-snapper crashed me in the corner, I cost a fortune!
Truth is that a more mature driver will concede the line and try to draft so as to not to F up anyone's race and there-by have more fun
Me, I am but half the age of Tristan (more or less), and although my reflexes may have dulled, I make up for it in consistency and fair play

Fair enough but, being lighter, on the exit of the corner you can get up to speed quicker.
A trade off, I guess?

Ok, thanks man, I just thought there may of been an advantage cause a metal hood might be heavier or something than a fiber hood. As long as it it only cosmetic, get er done
