Hi guys, I believe I was the one who made that layout..
"Distance" There is a distance tool already, to measure out your cones..
Yeah, Cone -replacement time can be shortened, but even with clean runners we found some people catching up to others at time.. So 2 at a time may only work with longer layouts..
But my request, maybe alittle more 'global'
When running one at a time, for a Solo2 event. It gets hard to remember the running order.
The connection list will work fine for this. However, when ever someone disconnects, all names under, seem to randomly get garbled..
My request would be, to alter the 'Connection list' to display as "Oldest -> Newest" connections.
Yeah I noticed this too.
What do you use? 3Dementional? I found with LFS they simply will not work. The reason for this is how the game draws seprate parts (The the wheels)
Outside depth never changes, (just the wheels) The only real effect I got from shutter glassess in this game, is in cockpit view, looking at the steering wheel. And well, as cool as it is for 5 minutes, it just 'darkens' the screen to much, for no advantage.. :| LFS would've been great to have 'Field of Depth' but just simply will not work.
For those of you who 'autocross' or 'solo2' in real life. I built this course on the blackwood tarmat. (Demo users can play it)
I did my best to keep the course design to the canadian rules. (With the gate width, and pointer cones ect)
2 laps. 3 minute avarage. Small cars have an advantage. Here's a short 'DIVX' video clip to show the design, and well the fact that the gates are (not impossibly tight)
For those of you who do not auto-x.
-- One car at a time.
-- Clock your best time out of 3 runs.
-- 2 Second penility for hitting each cone.
*** Normally there is marshals out at every event. If you miss a gate, your run is conisdered (DNF) So be honest and have fun.
-----------
Serpentines -- (The weaving in and out of cones) The direction to enter is flaged by a pointer cone.. (If a cone is pointing right, start on the right side)
If there is no pointer cone. Its your choise. (But keep in mind, what side you'll be exiting from)

Damn off season...

Come back and post your times (and cones)
