This is a prototype to show the customer how it can be done. The original pedals are going back in as soon as we find a good way to mount the sensors from the g27 pedals.

Also the motors for the wheel are being replaced by stronger ones and we're making new parts to mount the motors directly onto the chassis.

I'm about to start a project in cooperation with the Norwegian Automobile Association (NAF). The assignment is to make improvements to their existing driving simulator, which is a 90s ford sierra fitted with components from a logitech gaming wheel among other things.

Since my field is mechanical engineering I hope you guys will be able and willing to help me out a little with some of the electronics etc.

What I would like to do with the steering wheel, just to start in one end, is build the whole thing as much from scratch as possible.

-If someone could help me out with some info on what I'll need and what is available of harware and software I would really appreciate it.
