I took a look at the bios and there's no firewall-option. I can just activate and deactive the onboard-lan.

I disabled all security-software. But I'll take a look at the bios, thanks =)

Does really nobody know how to solve this problem?

i have a really bad problem with lfs. But first my computer configuration:
AMD Opteron 170
Abit KN8 Sli (nforce4-chipset with onboard-lan)
Geforce 8800 GTS 320mb

I think the other components don't really matter
What I also wanna say first is, that I don't have any problem playing other games online (call of duty 4, quake, guildwars, ...), the only game that makes problems is lfs.

The problem is, I connect to a server. The screen keeps black and then it jumps back to the connect-screen with the message "connection the server lost" (or something similar). The second or third time I connect then, I can drive for a few minutes and then I lose the connection again.
Are there any known problems with the nforce4-onboard-lan? I already had some lan-problems which I could solve by updating the drivers. But I just installed the newest drivers and it didn't help

Can anyone help me pls?

These changes are in my opinion some of the most important in the last time ... I mean, 32 players is absolutely amazing, but starting the qualy is a very important step to the more realistic sim. Keep on it

man this patch is absolutely amazing ! 28 racers makes the races much cooler, and I have no fps-loss at all. Great, thanks for the great patch, keep on it.

the point is, that any demo racer hasn't the right to ask for more. He didn't pay for it, so why should he get more content? Just buy it or continue playing the demo, or go to a cs-forum to suck the people there.

I've never had freezing-problems with lfs ... I had no problems with V and U and the patches before.
Maybe you should try to reinstall the game.

guys believe me, the f1 commentators of RTL in germany are absolutely the worst I've ever heard. There's one guy who just talks some shit and the other guy (who was f1-driver once) just always says the same. I always just wanna turn of the commentators und comment it on my own

I'll simply wait for more interesting designs, because they are all a bit to plain and boring in my opinion.

They shouldn't change to DX10 ... I'm sure, they would lose lots of users with this announcement. Because many people won't install Vista and so they have no DX 10. At the moment, DX8 is absolutely enaugh ... maybe later with rain und day-change, a change to DX9 will be the better way ...

anyway, overtaking under a yellow flag should cause a drive through. So such accidents wouldn't happen ... and everyone could slow down a bit in this sector.

I voted for no, because I think it would be more important to update the so sprint - tracks to be used in longer races. At all on So Sprint 1 you could use the normal pitlane of so, like joining it in the last left-corner and then through it, turning up on the bridge right and come back to the track in the first left-corner.

The problem were the Realtek-LAN-driver from the MSI-Homepage, which were outdated. On the Realtek-hp I found the newest drivers. Kind of nooby problem

I won't run 32 bit ... I have a 64 bit - processor, so I won't use a 32bit-OS. Anyway, I think I've found the problem ...

Is there any program to log a detailed description if something happens in lfs? I think, scawen posted it once, but I can't find it.

yeah, I thought about it and tried things ... but the discos started with the installation of xp x64. I have full bandwith of dsl 6000, I reinstalled lfs, what didn't help too. I'm not losing any other connection. I stay in teamspeak, when I lose connection to a lfs-server. I also tried lots of different servers ... so I have really no idea what it could be. I can't believe that it's a problem with the onboard-lan of my msi k8t neo 2. Or are there any problems known? I will just write down my whole system. Maybe anyone has an idea?

some time ago I changed the hardware of my computer to an AMD 64 3500+. So I also installed XP X64. Since that time, I lose the connection to the server after 10 to 80 minutes. With DSL 6000 there shouldn't be any bandwith-probs. Does anyone else have such problems? Is there a solution?
