Logitech Driving Force EX Mod

Hi guys,

I have a Logitech Driving Force EX, but I have two sets of pedals (a friend gave me his when he threw his wheel out!!!), and was wondering if i could butcher both of the boxes, so that one has three pedals (accelerator, brake, clutch).

Now, my problem is, what would i need to do with the cable from the third pedal to get the pc to read it? I am guessing that I cannot tattach it to the wheel, as it won't know what is going on.

Can any one shed any light on this (as it is not looking too hopeful!!!).

Cheers,

Kyle

Would you be able to post up or supply a download link for this program?

Can anyone modify this so that when the shift light turns on, it outputs through the serial (or parallel port, whatever you want to call it (printer port even?)) using the first bit (1). I have attempted to do this, but success has evaded me thus far. Can anyone help?
Sorry....

Update time.

Taking the advice that MonkOnHotTinRoof supplied, i am using the parallel port. I did some VB programming in engineering science, but have NFI how to use and link outguage to my VB program.

Can anyone help me with coding/outguage in general?
Or does anyone have a program which does this?

For referance,

Pins 18-25 have been bridged (they are all ground)
Data 0 is the other +ve pin in use

Thanks in advance,

Kyle
External Shift Light Programming Help Required

As one of my many projects for the holidays, I am attempting to make an external shift light (as I usually miss the small one). The light would be connected to the USB port and use the 6v from the port.

My problem is, I cannot figure out a way to get the light to turn on at the same time that the in-game one does.

Can anyone give me some suggestions/help as to what code I need to accomplish this?

Thanks in Advance,

Kyle
