I'm beginning to think there is an issue with the GeForce 7 series drivers and LFS, I have just upgraded from an 9600xt to a AGP GF 7800GS, the performance from that ATI card was pretty good and I had no problems getting 80-90fps most of the time, I now have a GF 7800GS(a much faster card) and I'm really struggling at times to even get 50fps and at worst it can dip down to 16fps when 10-12 cars are in view..............

I have tried several other games (Doom3, Half Life 2, rFactor, Farcry, Day of Defeat Source/Counterstrike Source) all on very high settings and there is no performance or stability issues, LFS seems to be the only game suffering this problem.
My power supply is only a 350 but considering the system is stable in the other games I don't believe that it is the problem, however to rule out that I have ordered a bigger antec and should have it today, so I'll report back if that solves the issue.
My only conclusion is thats its a driver issue, I have tried older drivers back to the 83.90s(first driver to support 7800GS) without success, the other strange thing is changing resolutions makes very little difference and the fps are lower with AA & AF turned off rather than when they are set to the max for both.
Anybody else with a 7800GS or GF 7 series having fps issues? Any suggestions?
