Well Intrepid you do have a good point. But i still cannot see how paying 35m a year to Kimi Räikkönen can be justified?
I believe evasive action needs to be taken to save F1 and all the jobs that will be lost from its downfall.
Also, in my opinion a salary cap will help to level the playing field as that seems to be the goal of the FIA.
Im all for salary caps, I think, if drivers want to make more money than their wage from the team, they should take it upon themselves to find endorsements.
Well yes I agree with you that Formula 1 is in dire straits. But even with the controversial decisions, the FIA are not the cause.
Motorsport is being hit hard at all levels. The modern era of motorsport relies heavily on the investors (sponsors), none more so than F1, where the biggest budgets are to be found. The economic climate is shrinking the profits of these big companies, it wasn't long ago I remember reading AT&T were cutting 12,000 jobs, these are the big investors of Williams F1. The situation with the DaimlerChrysler, the majority share holder of Mclaren F1, is sure to have an impact, aswell as the obvious engine manufacturers loosing profits e.g. Honda. So basically, the FIA need a shake up of the system, the economic climate will be like this for a good few years, so if action is not taken now, i dread to think that will happen. One thing i do think, F1 could use a salary cap system.
Well unfortunately I don't fit the right criteria to join this team.
The private message that I received last night said that I must have a licensed account, even though it states in the first post that demo users are allowed to join.
Can you please verify this Adrian?
If this is so, can anyone point me in the right direction for a demo development team.
This seems like the ideal opportunity for me to learn the ropes.

I'm currently on demo, but I am looking to purchase a license for the up-to-date content in the near future. I believe i hold the attributes to become a good Liveforspeed racer. I race to win but not at the sacrifice of unfair driving, I pride myself on being sportsmanlike.
I believe my driving and overall experience with this game will improve tenfold under the guidence of more experienced racers, so the opportunity to join a development team seems too good to miss.
Its fairly quiet at the moment but i will be extremley busy once April arrives, but i should be able to attend most race meets so long as i am made aware of the date and time beforehand.
Hope that is sufficient, please contact me via private message.
Thankyou for the wise words here's how I went on, I managed to get a 2nd hand Logitech pc steering wheel from a friend who doesn't use it any more, so i installed all the drivers and set it up, at first the feedback and wheel rotation didnt feel right, so I played around with the options and it seems to be allot better now. So, I took your advise and did some practice runs offline in the Formula BMW around the Blackwood track. Just taking it easy, learning the lines, the '4' button really helped with that. I was struggling at first, especially with the tight first chicane. I looked in the setup catagory, here on this forum and manged to find a setup for this car. It improved the overall handling tenfold, did 10+ laps here, and felt rather confident. I then took it up another level and decided to hit the online scene, the airattack server I think. I joined the spectators for awhile to watch the others. Having watched a few races, i took the daunting step to join the grid. I ended up being placed at the back of the grid, which is good for a novice, hopefully I can keep out of peoples way. Managed to bring her home in 8th without much incident, and set a new personal best of 1.19. I found actually following the faster cars improves your line alot. The next race restarted and I was 8th on the grid surrounded by BMWs, i managed to get a good start, taking the inside line into the tight chicane and held my 8th position, then all hell broke loose infront of me, a car was upside down, next thing I know im in P1, didnt last for too long though, half a lap around and two cars got past me. Managed to keep it steady all race, lowering my times as each lap went by, managed to get the personal best down to 1.16.21 on the last lap which i was really chuffed with, i wasn't the slowest there! Overall day one has been great, i see my social life going down the pan now. - Michael Bentwood
