Quote from Dave Millard :An avid rFactor aficionado here, I was wondering about multy code. Is it as smooth as rfactor? I run in a league with 30 to 40 people smooth as silk, can LFS compare?
Question 2 Physics how real are we talking here? Rfactor physics are good while at high speeds, but in most/all mods is totally whacked at low speeds.
In a real car if I was to yank the ebrake at 40 mph, the car would maintain a straight direction of travel as long as the front wheels were straight, and the road was smooth. In rfactor in any mod/car, you do this and instantly the rear is in front.
Any imput would be gratly appreciated.

getting a game started sure is a lot easier in LFS. I have yet to even play online in rFactor just because there is no standard for playing online. You need to have a specific mod and track version which are both seperate downloads to even join a race. Saying that, I have nothing to compare LFS online ingame to, but excluding people with slow connections, the online play is really smooth.

Hey, what servers you do you other new guys race on when you are on LFS? Ironically, after buying S2 I still find myself playing on Redline Racing D a lot trying to perfect the XFG on BL1. My PB is a 1:34:70, with usually pretty consistant 1:35x's... trying to hit that 1:33x mark.

Hey, I'd like to race in a beginner league. I just got S2 about one month ago, and while I'm pretty slow on anything other than Blackwood, I am a very clean racer. Any info on where/how to join up would be cool.

Quote from ReverendDexter :I had an issue with my G25 initially, as well.

In the windows settings for it (under control panel->game controllers), it defaults to only 270 degrees of rotation and a combined throttle/brake axis.

Needless to say, those were NOT conducive to proper driving!

That sucks cause I only have 240 degrees with combined axis with my Xbox 360 wheel.

I was actually going to make a post on a similar subject but I'll just use this thread...

I am currently using a Xbox 360 Wireless Wheel in LFS and was thinking of getting a used Momo on craigslist mainly because of the combined axis on my wheel. I can't warm my tires before a drag race, heel and toe downshift, or left foot brake (not to mention no force feedback drivers). I'm assuming the Momo has at least the option of seperate axis as it's made by Logitech right?

If you are planning to race online, I suggest getting S2. I bought S1 just to see what it was like and there were barely any servers to join that I couldn't already join on the demo. Then I upgraded to S2 and it's totally worth it.

I recommend you joining some beginner-leagues, but, if you never have raced track/car which is in that beginner league, do around 50 laps in single player.

what/where are these beginner leagues? i'd like to enter.

Hey all.

New S2 racer here looking for some beginner friendly servers to race on. Most of my limited experience is with the two demo cars on Blackwood, but I've been playing with the FXO on Fern Bay Gold since I purchased S2.

I've found the [AKM] Racing UK server/thread for beginners but the server I joined said I did not have a fast enough personal best to race there and I didn't see any other [AKM] servers. Any other servers or perhaps teams to train with? Thanks for any help.
