UFR/XFR class isn't balanced? You obviously don't know what you're talking about. In one of the leagues that are running now (LFS-GT, one race left) we've had plenty of races where UFR and XFR ran almost identical times in race. Sure XFR world record was maybe a tad faster, but that didn't matter in race. Balancing the car classes takes time anyways.
By the way they don't destroy tyres in a hurry and we have lots of good multi car action
I'd like
- A ~190 bhp lightweight non-turbo rwd for the XFR/UFR - class (a BMW 120i lookalike perhaps?)
- An awd car for the LRF - class (An Audi S4,S6 lookalike?)
A bit off topic, but I would also like to see RB4, and especially XRR and FXR given more torque (bigger displacement with no increased bhp).
I drove two stints in the XFR and my general impression is that the majority of the GTR drivers were careful enough to overtake at the most suitable places on the track. As a small gtr (XFR) driver I never expected GTRs to try overtaking in crazy places like the eau-rouge, and the last chicane before start-finish - that would be far too risky. Also I think it's wrong to give the GTRs top priority when overtaking. I prefer to look at it as cooperation; gtrs sacrifice a bit by going a bit wide in a corner, while GTRs loose some time by taking inside line. Simple.
About the Aston config. There are 6 unused turn combinations as Aston is today. I guess the one combo used in the screenshot (tires3.jpg) is a mixture of cadet and historic .
After a couple of races at the Muroc servers tonight my first impression is that this is going to be quite a challenge for both car-classes.
"GT2" class is approx. 20 secs a lap slower than "GT1". And the lack of downforce of GT2 class means there's going to be complications in the fast corners. Overtaking will definately be the biggest and most difficult issue.
Hi.
Cyber Racing LFS division became 1 year old the 20th february, which was celebrated with redesign of the website and completely new skins, made by Sracer. A week prior to the actual "birthday", we decided to start making a movie too, for showing the new skins in action. The movie took a while to produce due to schoolwork and personal obligations but now it's finally completed
So, if you want to see it, download it from LFS movies pit
Difficult to predict now who's going to win the whole cup. Every team that has made it this far has shown themselves as superfast and/or superconsistent.
I think Slovenia, Estonia and Finland from group 1 will meet Czech, Germany and Belgium from group 2 in the finals, and I have a slight feeling that Slovenia will emerge victorious.
Ok, I installed Dr. Divx and use that for encoding. But still, when exporting the project (in premiere) to an .avi file, for a 1 minute video I get a 25 meg file, with actually worse quality than most divx movies have, so if any of you have a tip or would like to share your encoding/compression settings I'd be really happy
