I updated my LFS today and it basically reset my settings to default. I have everything fixed but now it reversed my steering. In the caliberation screen on the right it seems to be reading normally. Turn left the bar goes left, turn right the bar goes right. But the steering slider in the game is were it is visa versa..
I cant figure out where to reverse it. And I have no idea how it got setup like this.
Thanks
I like your idea. Granted when it comes to competitive leagues it may not work to well on most tracks but for everyone else it would make the game a lot of fun since we can jump in a race with(one of) our favorite car(s) and still have a good chance at taking the flag do to assorted skill levels on the pub servers.
While at the same time I also liked his idea of each car having two or three different models while performance isnt effected in anyway. So for example the XFG guys can have their beloved fiat looking hatchback but also have a choise of driving that same car but in a more VW golf or peugeot 106 or honda civic hatch. Something oldschool car enthusiasts to something new looking to give something to appeal to anyone who likes driving the car.
I'd also like to see a lightweight RWD car similar to the NA Mazda Miata's, MK2 Escort Cosworth, ae86, fans. something like 2100lbs, high reving 1.6 and around 160 or so horsepower. 50/50 weight distribution.
and perhaps a touring/GTR version if that car, something like 1750lb's, huge fenderflares, same 50/50 weight distribution, a compitition bread super high reving 1.6 that makes between 200 and 240hp depending on how fast you want the car to be between the XF and XR GTR's.
Perhaps it could take some styling ques from an mk2 escort or a bmw 2002 and its race counterpart, or a perhaps more 80's styling that would please the ae86 fans like an ae86 levin and a touring/gtr version like this n2 levin with its big ass flares.
1)Make the autocross editor a lot easier to use and view as mentioned afew times above.
2)weather, different levels of rain, snow, and ice(mm rally!)
3)fix lowspeed traction issues
4)put the CD player faceplate back in the car. I feel like I have been jacked.
Why did they make the colors do the ^# in the first place? I was amazed that it worked when I was just goofing off and put in my old quake3 nickname.. color for color it matched up to the numbers. lol
If the creators of LFS are q3 fans that would explain why I'm also strangly addicted to LFS....
A freind of mine just got the Logitech Momo ForceFeedback steeringwheel/pedal setup but we cant get LFS to recognise the throttle and brake pedals as two different axes. At first I just told him to go into LFS and select saparate the the axes but it doesnt seem to do anything. LFS is still reading them both as X(or Y, I forget) axes.
I'm guessing this is something that should be tweaked in the "logitech wingman profile" software but after messing with it for about 20 minutes I realised that I have no idea what to do.
Being a common steering wheel I'd imagine we arent the first to have this problem but I couldnt find anything about it from searching...
Man I would be very interested in this but I'm very short on cash right now and dodnt have a mic, or even s2! I only have s1 licence(including s2demo).
Good luck with this project. This is one thing that would greatly help a game like LFS out do to its difficulty and steep learning curve which tends to filter out many would be players.
