I think all unsplitted races do include idiots, basically because they don't have required experience. I suggest to always look where are you joining. Unsplitted races are seriously dangerous to drive in. Especially rookie series and some others (like Star Mazda) might have stupid drivers even in top splits.
I just started my first full F1 season and all Strength of Field's being over 4000 I have been involved not even once in crashes. If you think iRacing is just full of unclean racing, maybe you should then just stick with LFS or go for something else like Codemasters F1 games.
iRacing Rookie series are naturally dangerous to drive proper racing. Rookies of course are not used to game and thats why there are so much more racing incidents and accidents on the Rookie series. I started my oval career mid-May, got away from Rookie with Street Stocks on the first week of June and starting my season 3 as NASCAR Truck driver with license B.
All I did on the Rookie series was start the race from the pits, drive clean incident-free races without racing with people and then you are out of there.
And obviously on higher class series the races are must more clean.
Here are my pics of my cars what I have driven for a while now. They do have nice tracks, lot of drivers and always awesome clean racing.
I recommend especially Star Mazda, would like to see you on track!
As former LFS driver and iRacer since 3 months I have to admit, there are few things what are not so good. But iRacing has weekly updates and eventually they will work on them and improve it all better - and for sure you don't need to wait 4-5 years.
