sil3ntwar i spent months looking for decent PS3 controller drivers and found motioninjoy drivers, works with bluetooth or usb cable and you can map all the buttons how you want including the analogue triggers and depending on you set them up they can be seperate or combined heres a link to the guys main page http://www.motioninjoy.com/
Enjoy it drove me nuts searching for them and setting it up so if you need any help getting it working give me a yell and ill try to help
My brother has identical psu(500 watt seasonic with 2 17A rails) and graphics card(gainward golden sample 460) and he has no issues at all so as i said before i would try a clean windows install but thats just me, doing what dadge said should fix it too unless something is faulty in your system.
If you put the old card back in does it run fine again?
it may seem a bit extreme but if you have a spare hard drive around i would try installing windows on there with just the necessaries such as graphics drivers, chipset drivers etc, install lfs and try that. Sometimes all they need is a windows reinstall
yep absolutely positive, hit the built in frame limit of 100 everything maxed out and they only went to half clock speeds and only got to 45 degrees c which is why i think yours could be temp related as its idling hotter then that. Its just a bit strange that mafia works fine. Do you get artifacts on the screen or anything while playing? Also i did some reading about what happens if the power supplies rails are overloaded and the response is pretty much always the same. It wont turn on and if it does and then gets overloaded itll turn off for safety in good power supplies such as the seasonic like yours. Try some other new games if you have them such as just cause 2 as it gives the cards a good workout and see how many fps you get there
i have seen two different 460's run lfs fine, one factory overclocked and the other standard both using the latest driver. i did notice though that yours seems to be running a bit warm at 61 C and the two that ive seen idle at about 25 C. I would have a look at how hot its getting while playing lfs. As far i as i knew from personal experience if its not getting enough power to the graphics card the computer refuses to turn on but i could be wrong as ive only seen it do that on 9800gtx+
Sounds like a good plan. Me and a few mates have been talking about a more in depth tweaker just dont have the skills or knowledge to make one. Would you be able to include things like adjusting tyre width, gearbox type such as sequential with ignition cut and the ability to choose which engine configuration or are they not possible to do?
Thanks for the great app, i used to use it on my laptop over the lan and it worked perfectly however ive since started using it on a second monitor on the same pc as LFS but it doesnt seem to want to work. When i try to connect live for speed just starts scrolling alot text down the side of the screen. "InSim : first byte in packet does not match size" with the occasional "InSim : packet received before ISI packet"
This is my live for speeds cfg.txt file settings for outsim/outgauge:
OutSim Mode 0
OutSim Delay 100
OutSim IP 127.0.0.1
OutSim Port 30000
OutSim ID 0
OutGauge Mode 0
OutGauge Delay 5
OutGauge IP 127.0.0.1
OutGauge Port 30000
OutGauge ID 0
all the settings in your program match up aswell INSim port: 30000 IP: 127.0.0.1
