Quote :The Mazda is weird. I always find myself comparing SS cars to the ones in netKar Pro, and the Mazda is very strange to drive. It feels all wrong, but i cant put my finger on what it is exactly.
The fact that you can recover when the rear steps out more than 90 degrees doesn't help.

Yep, I still think nK has the best open wheelers available. The Mazda wasn't as bad before they opened up the diff. You could still spin the rears coming out of corners with the closed diff. I think that really hid some of the aero flaws with the car. I have absolutely hated it since it was updated, and have refused to race it the last 4-5 weeks. I tried after it was updated, but to me it feels like driving the Skip Barber with downforce, and the engine in the front. It went from my favorite car to my most hated.

Quote :Still, one thing iRacing has done for me is get me into oval racing. It's a hoot!

Are you starting to step over to the darkside? I do agree with you, the oval racing is quite fun. Have you given the Silver Crown a go yet? That car is such a beast, and so much fun when it's not at the 1.5 mile tracks.

This is the first LFS league I have joined, and it is an absolute pleasure to beracing in. Even though I'm usually one of the slower FOX drivers, there's no shortage of battles for me on track. The racing is intense, yet very fair, and very clean. It makes no difference what kind of pace you are capable of, you will always have a number of drivers who are right there fighting tooth and nail with you for position. I can't begin to say enough good things about everyone who races in the GFC. I think it would be hard to find a finer bunch of folks to compete against.

If you're a fan of the single seaters, and like fair racing, you owe it to yourself to sign up and join us.

Sure does At least in version 4. I generally just use it to convert PAL to NTSC in mpg so I can make DVD's of all the races I d/l from various places.

All the suggestions mentioned above are good. My personal preference is TMPGenc (not free) with the Dolby plug-in (also, not free).

If possible, I'd like to give it a go in the FOX.

Currently mine is AI-00. Changed it about a month ago after always using FAH-Q before.

Derek Daly is pretty bad in the booth, but somewhat tolerable as a pit reporter. My personal opinion is that Danny Sullivan is a little worse than Daly. Me thinks Danny had a few too many shunts during his driving days, and sounds a lot like a prizefighter who retired about five years too late. I'll agree that James Allen is pretty bad too.

I'd have to say that the Speed guys are the best as a whole, but Martin Brundle is the best individual. If there was only a way to team up all four of them for the broadcasts.

Best all time had to be Murray and James Hunt.

My current favorites are the Onboard and Raw feeds on Premiere (no commentary)
