Cheers for the hint =] ... was poxy Vista .... Back to XP soon for me. All I did was changed the permissions of lfs.exe ie. gave Everyone "Full Control" in security settings. Right clicking on lfs.exe and choosing Run As Administrator also did the trick.

I haven't played LFS for a while, last version I had on was U. I am now running Windows Vista Ultimate, and have updated LFS to version W.
Now I cannot unlock the game, nor can I see any games online. All I see when I try to establish a connection in the game is -

ConnectToMaster : Error opening socket.

GRRR ... NEVER had a problem with LFS in 3 years .... Vista I am guessing ??

I haven't fallen asleep at the wheel in LFS, I'm normally too pumped up lol .. but quite a few years ago, at a netty, I had been drinking (and had a smoke or two ) ... we were playing Need For Speed and I passed out at the wheel, woke up a while later to find my car smashed up against the wall of a building eheh.

Yep, Bathurst or a fake Bathurst like in Forza as someone said previously. Even the Adelaide street circuit would be sweet. I made a mini version up on the autocross editor

Back again with another skin.
This time I have created a South Australian Police car for the XR GTR
Got bored at work, gave me something to do for an hour or two.
I re-drew all the logos, writing etc in FreehandMX, and did the skin in PhotoshopCS2. Pretty basic skin, doesn't look too bad in game.

Attached is the 2048x skin. 2 renders done in 3DS, and an in-game shot taken with Fraps.

It's a custom made Melbourne Demons Football Club skin, (Australian Rules Football)

Here's a skin based upon the Australian A1 Grand Prix paint job. There are a few different paint schemes I have seen, I decided to do this one, pretty happy with how it turned out ... just need a pre made Max scene for the BF1 and I would do a render .. they're handy =] I get lost everytime I try to follow the tutorial on mapping all the textures. ehehe

Sounds like a good idea ... will try and locate version Q, will wait a couple of weeks, then unlock it. Then I will be able to go back and make some vids of some close races my mate and I had over the years =]

EDIT: Couldn't find my CD with it on, so tracked it down ... eventually. Could not find a link to the full version Q from liveforespeed.net, so started playing with different names in the address bar, until I found the full link for version P, and the patch for version Q All good now.

Ahh, didn't think of that I think I still have all the previous versions on a CD somewhere, I was a bit worried about using another unlock for that purpose, but if we all were given extra unlocks when the new one came out, then there's no prob

I have been playing LFS for several years and wanted to go back and check out some old replays I recorded, only to find that since the BF1 came out the replays are not compatable.

Is there any way of fixing this? I have a heap of races and replays I would like to utilise in some video editing.

How about some form of converter/patch or something?? This is bloody annoying that these are not compatable.

I just created one in a similar way to what letdown427 said. Using the Profiler for my Logitech G15 keyboard and one of it's many programmable buttons.

Thanks mate .. yeah .. can do with a little tweaking ... i wanted a nice reflective gold for the yellow ... but hard to make a nice gold colour. And yeah .. the green is a bit dull ...

Might have a look at it tomorrow .. too tired tonight.

I've also attached a couple of other skins that I have made, one for the the FOX and one for the FO8 ... sharing is caring

Saw someone requesting an Australian A1 skin ... i put one together this afternoon, for the FOX .... (i don't like the FO8 ... i can't drive it )

It is not perfect .. a couple of little bits which need tidying ...
