I am looking to build a desktop system to get away from racing on my laptop. Its just not fast enough to run iRacing and struggles to run LFS.
I found this bundle which i think is descent but i need some feed back. Would this be a worth while purchase to run iRacing and LFS at a efficient level with lots of FPS at descent graphics?
One question for you tho. Is it possible for you to change up the #30 to a Number plate with a #30 on it? something kinda just back behind the front wheels on both sides like in touring cars? Here is an example ( http://api.ning.com/files/tJrP ... tEkE_/volvo_850_btcc1.jpg )
Im not trying to be picky just wondering... Thanks so much.
(EAR TO EAR)
If you can pm the skin file to me that would be great.
I need a skin for the Scrappy Standards league! Im running the XFG and was hoping someone could throw me together a skin with the Australian V8 Supercar #39 Russell Ingalls Supercheap Auto Holden's paint scheme. None of the decalling just the colour scheming. I need the #30 on a number plate on either side of the car. Preferably on the car door and then jsut the design with the black, white, yellow and orange colours.
Im gonna try and get some work done on this shifter while i wait for the controller to get here! Hopefully i;ll get some pics and post them..... cant wait!
Ok awesome I followed along there with yea... You explained it very well.
I went to college for electronic engineering Well i attended lol. Oh if i could have those days back. Thanks very much for your help. I am gonna order that and get to work!
Cobra..... I am somewhat new at this. I didnt realize that pots were the Analog input and switches or buttons were the Digital inputs. Could you explain to me how I would get 32 digital outputs from this unit!
Ok I am in the middle of building a Sequential shifter, and was going to use a gamepad for the hotkeys. I have found that the traces on the gamepad PCB are just so brittle that I cant solder anything to them with out it braking the trace right off of the board.
I was looking at this http://www.leobodnar.com/products/BU0836/ and thought that it might be worth it just to put out the money for it? Also am I right to say that you can run pots right off of this unit? Could I use this also to contol a set of pedals if I were to build them too?
I am wanting to build pedals, switch board and shifter for my cockpit in the future! Will this device be able to control all of that?
Im looking to use a game pad because they are usually cheaper and it is solely a sequential shifter so all i need is two buttons (hotkeys) rather than axis'
Hey everyone. I need some help here. Im building a seq shifter and decided i was going to use a gamepad internals for the button (hotkey) control. I have seen alot of gamepads replicating ps2 controllers but when i took my old ps2 controls aparts i see that the wiring harness is connected to a pcb seperate from the pcb that the buttons are attached to. The connection between the two boards is just the film that has the contacts printed on it and is layed on the board to make the connection.
I want a gamepad that has the wiring harness running into the same board as the buttons are on. Could anyone recommend a gamepad like this cause i dont want to mess around with trying to keep the connection between the two boards when it is mounted in the shifter. Please help
That is the second person who has told me that! ok awesome thanks very much.
Does that sound like a good package? I stopped in at a shop and they told me they had just installed the first one and were going to test it. but the specs were supposively really great.
We have websites to upload our car setups but what about our wheel setups? Why dont we start posting our setups for our wheels. Im sure there are alot of ppl out there struggling (me for instance), because they dont know or dont experiment with alot of the options for the new wheels. Could anyone help me out with posting some of their knowledge or setups for their racing wheels?
I run a G27 and have not done much with the profiler, so I am sure it could be much better than it is. But I do not want to completely mess things up so I havent experimented much.....
I just bought my self a G27 upgrading from my Logi formula GP FFB (not working cause i run vista and FFB drivers only work up to XP. LOL) Cant wait by the sounds of it most of you like it and I havent owned a G25 so not missing anything in my eyes.
If anyone knows how to get the shift lights workin in LFS please shoot me a pm.

Hey everyone just a noob question here but is there practise on the day previous to the race? If so will what is the server name and will anyone be online to help out with setups. Do we need a password to access the server for practise? Thanks for all the help.
That is awesome. Thanks so much Ichabot! Couldnt be happier to get a custom skin. I really appreciate it. Thought I would try and pay tribute to him as I race where he basically got his start in karts. Thanks again.
